Good job guys. I hope we can all pick it up and go full tilt the last 20 days of SC4 to get
the Intrepid the flagship. Blade, Phantom, and Bolan you all did an excellent job. Especially
just joining the squad recently. I'm hoping to free up my schedule to get to MP comps over the next couple of weeks. I haven't gotten out to them like I would have liked and I want to earn some MP points. :)

I'd like to see everyone getting some points during the week, if you only have a little bit of time during the week just showing up at a MP comp and flying 1 match gets you 5 points for participation. 40 points if you win(including the medal and participation pts). Completing an Iwats course www.imperialacademy.org/ is 15 points per course and some courses are extremely
easy if you follow the course notes. Let's see the Intrepid become the flagship!

Squadron Competitions...
Competition - Cobra Ace of the Month
This will last the entire month of May. At the end of each week I will see who's earned the most
FCHG points for that week. #1) gets 4 points, #2)3 pts, #3)2 pts and #4)1 pt. After the month
is complete all the points from each week will be totaled and the winner will receive an Iron Star-Bronze WINGS.

Cutest EH Baby Picture Contest!
This competition parallels the Mr/Miss EH Comp. In this comp, we want to find out who is is cutest EH baby. I'll try to break this comp down by the three month timespan. :) 
Month 1 Photos submitted for three weeks Last week, they will be posted on the RO page for view, and in preparation for the voting to begin. Submissions being taken until May 30, 2002 
Month 2 Rounds of voting will begin. Most likely one round per week, or perhaps every two weeks, depending on how many votes we get, as well as the amount of pictures 
Month 3 Voting comtinues until there are a Cutest EH Boy and Girl. Which will be announced later that month. 

Rules
You must submit a picture of yourself as a child, from 0 - 6 years old. Please try to select a clear picture so it is easy to view. Try to keep your submissions to just one, only one will be accepted. Also, please send them in .jpg or .gif. And include your full ID line. Thank you! :) The voting will be done by the members of the Emperor's Hammer

After a long search and MANY highly qualified applicants (around 30 people applied!) I have made my final decision on my CA:SO. After reading over the resumé and having worked with him before myself, it is my great pleasure to announce that my new CA is none other than Fleet Admiral Brad! 
Applications are now being accepted for a new Wing IX WC with the following requirements: 
- At least one year of TC membership, and with FOUR consecutive months experience at a Squadron Commander level (or above).
- A demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire pilots, from veterans to those just off the Daedalus.
- Proven ability as a pilot (at least Dragoon in the FCHG).
- Absolute reliability in all regular Wing Commander duties such as turning in weekly reports, BSFing etc.
- NO HCI convictions
It should be noted for those interested in applying, that this is not a position to be taken lightly. It requires your attention on a daily basis and you must be prepared to handle a large amount of email, most of which will need replying. Commitment is key here. If you're not 100% sure you can do the job, don't bother applying.
Applications should be sent to Vice Admiral Drake and Rear Admiral Krax Tarnisar, with "Wannabe WC!" in the subject of the email. Good luck if you decide to apply.

To be promoted from SL to LT:
1. Submit your Imperial Navy Pilot Record (INPR) to your Squadron Commander. 
2. Participate in any official TIE Corps competition or contest. 
3. Fly any official TIE Corps battle, with the exception of free missions, these are located at the TIE Corps Battle Center. 
4. Submit EH/TC fiction or graphics. 
5. Complet an IWATS Course.
6. Fly in Multiplayer Competition, Win a LoC.


Skipping Missions 
You are not allowed to skip a mission in a battle whatever the reason is. All missions of a battle must be completed. You are not to use the ingame 'skipping mission' option of X-Wing Alliance. If you encounter a battle that has a fatal bug in it that prevents you from playing the rest of the battle, you cannot edit your pilot file to skip the mission. If you encounter a fatal bug, fill out a Bug Report on the Battle Center to explain why you could not finish a mission, and save a backup of your pilot file so you can finish the battle after it has been repaired. Skipping missions may lead to have the batle removed from your combat profile.


Great work everyone. I know those of you without activity have checked in with me and told me what's up so i'm not concerned about that. I'd like to see us try if we have time in real life to bust out some activity over the next 20 days to finish up this long competition. WC Wil Striker is considering having some wing activity competitions to coincide with the end of SC4 so in addition to helping out the wing and likely earning Silver or Bronze Stars for your SC4 activity you could compete for Iron Star-Silver Wings and Iron Star-Bronze Wings if you are #1 or #2 in wing activity. Keep an eye on the mailing group if an announcement is made. 

Also Bolan Remon should be a LT right now, that should be happening in the very near future. :) Good work in your first week.
