The Mission: TIE-FREE #78
Deadline: Friday, June 7th, 2002
Tac Report: Maj Shae reporting in...
Well, actually there's not a lot of tactics in this mission.
o Arm yourself with "Concussion Missiles" and the "Tractor Beam"!
o Pump all Laser Energy to the Shields
o Set Laser Recharge Rate to zero
o Set Beam Weapon Recharge Rate to the maximum
o Send all other fighters (and their follow up waves) home
o Switch to the "Advanced Missiles"!
o Tractor Beam the enemies and shoot them with a single warhead (Be rather close or sometimes the missile will miss)
o If you are hit you can set the Shield Recharge Rate to "increased" for a short time to strenghten them (Beware you'll only be 7 MGLT faster than a TIE Fighter then.)
o If fighter resistance has been wiped out, come to a halt out of the ESC's range and pump remaining missiles into it
o If there are still missiles left, fire at your mothership
o Head home. And get about 70k points.
Kappa vs. Hammer Competition
----------------------------------------------------------------------Competition Specs:This will be a month long comp. with a different battle flown every week. CMDR Algaron will update the scores every Tuesday on the Kappa website. The top five scores for each squadron will count towards the overall standings. At the end of the month, the highest scoring squadron is declared winner and the two highest scoring pilots earn IS-BWs!
