CMDR Drake Jensen reporting in for Mantis Squadron on 06.20.02

Commander's Corner:

-We made it through my first week and I am happy to say that I have heard from everyone but LT Klar. As stated in the WC's report, Top Dog will be starting up July 1. LCM Broskopf and I were in Mantis for TD last year when our own COL Hizad was WC, and Mantis tied Scorpion for first place. Well this year I would like to have first all to ourselves. The format will be different this year so we need to be ready for anything. Mantis did not show as well as I would have liked during SC4. Let's show the Van that we are still a force to be reckoned with. AY!DO MANI!!!


Squadron News:

-MAJ Zoron has been invited to join Avenger Squadron and he accepted. Good luck and make sure you show them how to do it Mantis Style!
-LCM Serge Broskopf is my new XO. Please cc him on all squadron related things except pilot files.
-MAJ Zoron won the 10 battle comp. Congrats man!

-I would like to implement some squadron officers to help make us more active. If you are intrested in being the TAC or COO officer for Mantis email me and we will talk about it.
-We are down to 9 citations. I would like to see that number rise dramatically in the coming weeks.


Wing/Ship News:

- The WC has started a competition for squadron histories so any of you that are good with fiction(Brosky and Dufar) may want to give it a shot.

-The saturday night trivia and the sunday night aces high comps have been suspended due to non-particpation. If you would like to see these comps make a come back let CM Drax Remlinger(tombtrooper@aol.com), CM Erryc Lassiter(spencer79@nethere.com), or MAJ Kenath Zoron(fight_the_good_fight91@hotmail.com) know that you will be there. They are for medals and are a good way to get to know others on the Van.
