CMDR/CM Drak reporting for Rage Squadron on 6/19/02

Squadron News

* Theres alot going on at the moment please read all of the below.

* There is a wing comp starting now 6/19/02 and ending 6/26/02 fly XVTTC35(12 missions) and/or TIETC197 (5 missions) all submissions are to be sent to me with Wing Comp Submission as subject, the pilot with the highest score wins & gets to put Best XVT/TIE pilot of WingXVIII on his/hers ID-line until the next comp (which will hopefully become a regular thing with XWA & BOP the next week then back to Tie & XvT etc) 1st palce also gets a Iron Star with Siver Wings & 2nd gets a Iron Star with Bronze Wings, no award for 3rd. So go fly and do your best. If this becomes popular i may add sqaud awards. Flying on Hard is the best way to get that high score.

* Due to a idea submitted by LT Tragon Nien im starting a Rage project basically we are going to create a new fighter and make battles, fiction etc for it. I want all members to get involved with this. The project is to create a new Rage Fighter/or find a worthy fighter to use. Once that is done ill try to get it approved by the Science Office.
So to start with im putting LT Tragon Nien in charge of Rage Starfighter Research & Development send all ideas/models to him & cc me with them things as what role the fighter plays (bearing in mind we are a special operations sqaud), specs youd prefer etc. All aspects of the fighter will be chosen by Rage members using a voting system first things first though get those models/ideas in. Any other ideas on this please dont hesitate to tell me. Remember this is RAGE PROJECT your opinion counts and i think this is a first for the Emperors Hammer but dont quote me on that.

* As always make sure to sign up for the Coms Judgement (Great way to win medals) www22.brinkster.com/grail/atf/cjhome.asp do SP & MP lets get a high Rage participation. Obviously send any battles you fly for Coms Judg to me as part of your activity ( I see that LT's Athen & Conjre are signed up)

* We've also lost a pilot LT Glorfindel has transfered to another squad good luck LT and may your career be prosperous.

We need to begin a recruitment campaign lets get some active pilots, Ive recruited a new member who will be joining Rage when training is complete but we need more and they must be willing to be active.

* Citations any battles you do make sure someone else has flown it first lets try to get more sqaud citations.

* Id also like some feedback on the wing comp idea i sent you all, please send any ideas or help offers to me.

*There will be a poll for a new sqaudron banner in the next couple of days ill send you all the pics let me know which you prefer or whether to keep the one weve got.

CMDR Drak (ME) - XWATC18, XVTTC19 working on getting high Coms Judg scores. Recruited a new EH member. Submiteed comp idea & came up with Rage Project (instigated by LT Tragon Niens Rage fighter idea).

LT Tragon Nien - Was put into the reserves but as hes recently contacted me thats changed so he stays in the squad. Responsible for starting the Rage project (as mentioned in the news) it was his idea for the Rage Fighter. Ill also allow the honourary title Head of Rage Starfighter Research & Development added to your ID-Line with all future Rage Project emails etc. Glad your still with us now lets have some missions from you great idea man.

Major Talek Pter Dei - Is currently on leave as hes serving in the armed forces. His position within Rage will remain

CPT Steele Brightsaber - You still with us dude? please get in contact.

LT Athen - Flew TIE TC's 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 & 10, Awarded Commendation of Bravery & won more points for his LOC (Legion of Combat) & combat rating. Great work as always LT :)

LT Pheniox - Is requesting a transfer, could you let me know whats happening with that or if youve decided to stay with Rage please.

LT Conjre - Flew XWATC 12 & XWAFCHG 3, TIETC96, Completed IWATS Linux course - great work and you were on leave :)

Things are improving 1 more pilot has come out of the woodwork & hopefully have some missions flown soon. 2 pilots are active every week. Theres aslo alot going on for Rage as well. If anyone else has any comp ideas ask for approval first or in the case of a wing idea either ask the Wing Commander or ill do it for you, Once approval has been given then you may submit it, this is just so the WC/myself knows whats going on.
