GREAT Final week guys! We increased our score nearly 50% from last week's score and had a great finish to SC4. This was a very productive Supremacy Competition. Everyone in the squadron contributed and earned points. I haven't seen that from the squad before and I'm very proud to see that. We should know sometime during the upcoming week how the Intrepid fared but I am hopeful that our ship will emerge as the flagship of the ASF fleet!

Squadron Competitions...
Competition - Cobra Ace of the Month
This will last the entire month of May. At the end of each week I will see who's earned the most
FCHG points for that week. #1) gets 4 points, #2)3 pts, #3)2 pts and #4)1 pt. After the month
is complete all the points from each week will be totaled and the winner will receive an Iron Star-Bronze WINGS.

Cobra Ace Current Standings-
1)LT Blade - 16 points total (1st place this week)
2)LT Phantom - 15 points total (3rd place this week)
3)LT Timpa Sloan - 10 points total (2nd place tie this week)
4)CPT Caltin Doros - 9 points total (4th place tie this week)
5)LCM Vessicant - 3 points total
6)MAJ Kyle - 0 points
6)LT Bolan Remon - 0 points

LT Blade's massive final week couple with a last minute push by Timpa contributed to Blade moving into solo possession of first place and winning the first Cobra Monthly Ace. Blade, you may add 'Cobra Ace - May' below your ID line when you use it in mails or bulletin board posts. Congrats. I'd like to also congratulate Phantom on a fine showing and all pilots will be receiving awards I'm sure, in addition to Blade getting an Iron Star - Bronze Wings for this competition. Cobra Ace will pick up again in June.

NEW COMPETITON - MONTHLY!

In the same vein as Cobra Ace of The Month we're going to have a montly "Cobra Gunner" The same 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th system will be used. Here's how we'll determine the scoring.
For every Multiplayer victory at a Tie Corps Comp(#EHCOC), or in the Week Of War you will be credited with 'two' points for the weeks scoring. For every match you fly but lose, you will receive 'one' point.
If a pilot wins 2 matches but loses 5 they would have 'four' + 'five' points or 'nine' total points for the week. That will be how 1st/2nd/3rd/4th is determined. So not only will your winning help you,
but being active and flying matches will help as well.

The pilot who has the most weekly points at the end of the month will receive an Iron Star-Bronze Wings.
NOTE- Please email me after you fly in a comp if you don't win any matches because I only receive notification from the database if a pilot gets a LoC. It'll make it easier for me to track and compute scores. :)

Promotions/Awards...
CPT Doros won 9 LoCs!
LT Blade won 2 LoCs!*
LT Bolan Remon won 2 LoCs!
LT Phantom won 2 LoCs!*

*note XVT Week Of War LoCs were awarded this week but I had listed them in the previous weeks report anyway so they're not listed here.

After months of planning, the EH Holonet Awards have finally begun! They are a chance for you to vote on the sites you think are the best! The first stage is the Nominations stage, which will last for two weeks. You may nominate more than one site, but each site must be in a different awards category. All sites MUST be in compliance with the Internet Guidelines.
The main EHHA site is located at http://ehha.stardestroyer.org. Thanks to IOA Alex Foley for creating and coordinating the EHHA.

The Tactical Officer is on leave until Sunday, keep that in mind for BSF's.
Overview - Training Officer Position has opened.
The position of Training Office is one of the most demanding in the EH. The position covers a wide range and scope of duties, requiring a multi-talented person. The successful applicant will also be under the extra pressure of continuing the standard of work conducted by myself, as well as maintaining a long-term tenure. Some duties of the Training Officer include:
Marking tests
Reviewing, approving and implementing new courses
Reviewing competition submissions
Assisting all members of the EH in training matters
Design and execution of TO competitions
Keeping IWATS staff in line, including replacing non-performing staff
Applicants must address the criteria as laid out below.
Selection Criteria - Essential
Proven experience in running competitions, preferably involving a scope larger than a TIE Corps wing or equivilent
Good written communications skills
An acceptable level of online presence (such as IRC, message boards, etc)
Fast email response time
A clean record in conduct
The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the XO, FO, OPS and various officers within the TIE Corps
Selection Criteria - Desirable
Graphics ability
ASP coding experience
Solid training experience, either in the EH or in real life
You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yes, I can do that" will not be enough, back it up with specific examples. You should meet the essential criteria to be considered seriously for the position, and you do not necessarily have to meet the desirably criteria to get the position. Committment, specifically long-term, is very important and should also be highlighted and backed up in your application. You must also include three (3) references. At least one of these must be one of your superiors (either former or current, preferably the latter). These references will be checked, so ensure you have the person's permission before listing them. Applications should be sent to the Fleet Commander and Executive Officer with the subject "Application for Training Officer" (without the quotation marks). Failure to follow this application format will result in immediate disqualification.

Skipping Missions
You are not allowed to skip a mission in a battle whatever the reason is. All missions of a battle must be completed. You are not to use the ingame 'skipping mission' option of X-Wing Alliance. If you encounter a battle that has a fatal bug in it that prevents you from playing the rest of the battle, you cannot edit your pilot file to skip the mission. If you encounter a fatal bug, fill out a Bug Report on the Battle Center to explain why you could not finish a mission, and save a backup of your pilot file so you can finish the battle after it has been repaired. Skipping missions may lead to have the batle removed from your combat profile.

Great week everyone, I am proud of the activity level everyone showed and had a long(but happy) time processing all of this activity into scoring. :) Congrats to Blade the Cobra Ace of May and good luck to everyone for becoming Cobra Ace of June. I expect to see everyone receiving awards in the next week or so from the activity given.
