KAPPA SQUADRON REPORT, 18th March 2002, Captain Algaron
My third squadron report at the end of a difficult week for myself as some of you might be aware. Anyway no time for moping around, lots of work to be done.
- A very well deserved and long overdue promotion goes to Commander Tempest. His work for Kappa has always been of the highest standard. I cannot think of enough superlatives to describe how much I value Temp as a member of this Squadron. Congratulations!
- I am changing the Kappa Hall of Fame Squadron slightly - I think there are 7 obvious choices for initial positions in the HOF who would all be inducted anyway - obviously we have Roasty, Temp and Jan Wemmel already elected, but Wlodek, Deacan, Amadeo and myself were sure to follow over the next month of voting - therefore rather than waste time I am inducting the 4 of us straight in, and leaving the final 5 spots open to future pilots who excel in their careers within the Squadron - put in some hardwork and dedication and you too could take your honorary place amongst Kappa's elite. Wem has said he would rather not take the place of FL of Flight III, so I'm going to leave it open for the time being.
- Speaking of the Kappa HOF we had 2 submissions for the banner graphic competition from Tempest and myself. As expected Temp's banner was significantly better than my effort, so he picks up the 4 KAPS point bonus. Well done Temp. I have attached both anyway, and will be using the winning entry on the site during this coming week.
- On Ninj's request I am going to put together a Fiction Competition - details in the next WSR.
- When Ford returns from a short leave we'll get our old names back. Let's ensure we don't give him another opportunity to do it a second time!

- Kappa Training - the first training assignment is TC-TIE 192 "Claws of Death" (attached) - the pilot recording the highest score will get a 4 KAPS point bonus on top of those received for flying the 5 missions - deadline is 24th March - I'll expect a very good excuse if you don't fly.
- The New Face of Kappa - in the Kappa Meeting last Sunday we talked about this at length and came up with some good ideas - it looks like were going to be adopting a "dragon" theme for our new look, but I still need you to email me your suggestions and I'll start awarding some KAPS points.
- Kappa Squadron Encylopaedia - as always, if you have any submissions for this I'll incorporate them into the site and award KAPS points for good work.
