- The big news this week is the resignation of GN Ford Prefect as Wing II Commander. Unfortunately Ford's RL commitments have got to the stage where he can no longer fulfil his duties in the position. Ford was a very popular member of the Wing who commanded with a style and panache that made Wing II unique in the Tie Corps. He was also a good friend, and will be sadly missed by all. Nominations for his replacement are currently going ahead, but before too many people ask I am not applying for the job, so I'm afraid you guys are stuck with my for a while longer!
- The Hammer Squadron competition concluded it's first week. I must say I'm disappointed with the response I received for this important match-up. For a squadron with 10 members, only producing 4 TFRs was not the sort of standard I am looking for. Fortunately for many of you guys my wrath has been abated due to the fact that Hammer had similar problems and only got out 3 TFRs (but for a Squadron of 6 pilots that was slightly more understandable). In terms of scoring we have moved into a 37,000 point lead, but I will naturally expect a much bigger effort in Week 2 to consolidate this advantage. Hammer clearly have some very good pilots and will push us hard if they can get 5 TFRs out next week. Results will be posted on the Kappa HP tonight, and details of the next assignment are in the Orders section.
- Our two newest recruits have been going IWATS crazy over the last week. Details of all their studious efforts in the Squadron Activity section. Good job boys!
- LT Grinning Donkey has been transfered back to Kappa 3-4 after a brief stint in Tempest Squadron! Enough said on this subject methinks.
- LT Grinning Donkey produced the first Kappa Squadron banner entry, and I must admit it's a great piece of work. Keep those submissions coming in during the course of this month.
- We are still awaiting results of the Wing I vs. Wing II competition.
- I've started uploading all the old Kappa WSRs to the Tie Corps page while at the same time giving them a slight HTML-ised aesthetic overhaul. Go check them out at http://www.emperorshammer.net/reports/tcreports.asp?squadronid=13
- Please can all pilots who haven't done so yet go to the Kappa Battle Board and submit their battles/missions. The URL is http://minos.net/~kse/kbb/main.php - I would like this fully up-to-date ASAP. Get in touch with Dash if you need help with loggin out and administration.

- Squadron Banner - design a new banner that Kappa Squadron can be proud of, incorporating the new motto.
- Kappa Squadron Encylopaedia - if you have any submissions email them to Dash and myself and I will award KAPS points for your work.
