1. Fleet news (as taken from TC News site)
COO Leave

The Combat Operations Officer will be out of town from July 21st until his return on the 31st. During that time, COOA Kyle Katarn will handle normal requests. Any extraordinary requests will unfortunately have to wait until my return.

Hosts Sought

The Combat Operations Office is currently seeking General Hosts to fill in for late or absent hosts. Qualities that would help with the position are as follows:

Active presence in #EHCOC.
Able to spend many hours of time getting scores down in the proper format.
Able to quickly organize the scores and get them submitted to the appropriate COO staff members.
If you're interested, please E-Mail COO Khadgar and COOA Kyle Katarn.

Note: I will look at these upon return from my previously mentioned leave.


2. Ship news:

Former CMDR of Iota, Samuel Shadd III and CMDR of Nu, Mark Schueler were promoted to MAJ.
6th round of CSL2 is on.
3. Squadron news:

In 5th round of CSL2 we defeated Spear 3 : 0.

4. Note from commander:

Again, activity only from couple of people. Flying mostly from Zys, Brad Tack submitted for CSL2. Again, nobody was interested in squadron competitions. I am starting to this you are dead, pilots... Maybe we should change our motto to "Funeral services"?

Objective: To fly TIE-FREE #199 (attached) in match against Alpha.

Deadline: 2002.07.27, 23:59 GMT (I want to have your pilot files BEFORE the deadline)

A. Logo and Banner competition.

Objective: To design a new logo (500x125 pts) and banner (450x450) for Pi Squadron
People involved: Pilots of Pi Squadron
Deadline: 2002.07.31, 23:59 GMT
Reward: IS-BR for each category
Note: If no satisfactionary graphics is made I can extend the competition and/or make it available for whole Wing.

B. Caption competition.
Objective: In each of my reports I'll place one Star Wars related picture. You are to invent a caption for it.
People involved: Pilots of Pi Squadron
Deadline: Every Saturday, 23:59 GMT
Reward: IS-BR for every 3 points collected (each win gives you one point).

Only WC Indaro Gallia, honorary guest to our competition invented caption for previous picture: "TK-431 shows up to parade in the wrong uniform, again!" Thank you, sir.
