Greetings!


The following report is submitted today, Sept. 3rd, for two reasons: (a) I was on leave last week, as you all know, and (b) I need to put out something until this mess with the MSE is sorted out (Coming in as CMDR in the middle of the month and then sorting thru past records to make sure everyone gets what they deserve is time-consuming!). Therefore, here is the report.

Asp Squadron News

1. Congrats to Lt. Praetorian on another Medal of Instruction! That's two in two weeks! Keep up the EXCELLENT work!
2. Congrats to LCM Gistenjunge on the mega-butt tons of Legion of Combat and Distinguished Flying Crosses he is getting! Keep filling my mailbox!
3. Congrats to Lt. Ulath on his promotion from SL to LT! Keep up the good work! 30 FCHG Points will get you a Commendation of Bravery!
4. I have opened another Squadron Competition! Starting 5 September 2002, and ending 12 September 2002, whoever sends me in the HIGHEST SCORING XvT-TC #1 will receive an IS-BW! So, fly the battle (get FCHG points), submit for the competition (maybe win an IS-BW), and make me happy (gets us Unit Citations for flying it!).
5. For those of you who are on temporary leave due to RL problems, I need a realistic estimation of when you plan on coming back to 'full duty'. Remember, if you are having significant RL issues, it is not shameful to go to the Reserves during that time. I have done it before. You are always welcome back after the hard times are done.
6. I'd like to increase Message Board usage. It is there for us, and the EH Staff pay every month for it's bandwidth. Let's make it worth it. I post alot of information there that is important to ALL squadron members.
7. LCM Gistenjunge is the Squadron Executive Officer (XO). Therefore, all non-BSF emails concerning TC stuff should be CC'd to him when emailing me.
8. Welcome to SL Ithor! He has just joined us from Bravo Company on the Daedalus Platform. His Space Dad is Lt. Praetorian. Welcome to Asp!
9. I'd like to see some personalization of the Flight Mottos. If you are an FL, and would like to change it, ask your FMs for inputs. If you come up with one you all agree on, I'll gladly change it.
10. On that note, EVERY FLIGHT should have it's own website. This shows initiative, creativity, and ability. If you do not know how to code in HTML, ask your FMs. If they do not know how, let me know and I'll build you one.
11. Anyone want to do a Fiction Writing Competition? Email me your inputs. Since we're Psy Ops, I thought it would be neat to do some fiction on our 'special' missions that the Wing Commander and Commodore would task us with. Any input?
12. We have 0 Unit Citations due to the recent acquisition of two new personnel. Let's utilize this time to build up our Unit Citations! Let's Get Flying =o)

2. The Wing-Wide Recruitment Drive is still going on. I am 'overseeing' this effort with the direct cooperation of all CMDRs and the WC/COM. If anyone is interested in aiding the WING with recruiting (that is, not just recruiting for Asp Squadron, but ANY Squadron in the Wing) please contact me. This is a great way to build comraderie between the various Squadrons of the Intrepid.

1. The ISD Vanguard is having some problems with retention and recruitment. Please encourage our fellow Strike Force members when you see them, and let them know that we stand by them (as the LARGEST ship in the ASF, we should do that! Good Work Intrepid!).
2. Admiral Cyric fell asleep in the Officer's Club (again) and lost his wallet. If anyone finds it, please turn it in to the nearest Hammer's Fist Security Detachment. It's contents included: (a) One picture of Mrs. Cyric, (b) 5 Bothan Credits, (c) One folded "I Survived the Second Death Star" postcard, (d) One picture of Mon Mothma (don't ask...).
