News

-WE HAVE NEW PILOTS!! That's right, everyone welcome LT TK-9780 as our new FL of Flight 2. Also, COL Miakus as a new FM in Flight 2. Miack has asked that every visit his quarters for a..um....personal visit so he can get to know you better......

-Cyclone now has a new nickname and motto. I also assigned nicks and mottos to the individual flights. The reason for this will become apparent in a few weeks when I implement a new squadron comp I'm working on.

Cyclone Nickname: The Forever Wind

Cyclone Motto: None shall pass. (If you've read the latest NJO book, Traitor, you'll recognize this phrase. Basically, it means that Cyclone has drawn a line and is now ready to claim our fair share of prizes. Therefore, None Shall Pass!

Flight 1 Nick: Demolition Crew

Flight 1 Motto:What do we blow up next? (Fitting for a flight of Missile Boats, huh?)

Flight 2 Nick : Fighter Suppression

Flight 2 Motto: Have fighters, will travel.

Flight 3 Nick: Close Support

Flight 3 Motto: We're in and out before you know it.

-I have almost finished with the new IWATS course I was asked to write. If you want to, a temporary site can be found at http://xwatactics.tiecorps.net. This is not the final version, but let me know what you think.

-Recruit, recruit, recruit. We need more pilots. I am hereby putting a bounty on any new pilots that you can personally bring into the squadron. I will give you an ISM if you are able to recruit someone into Cyclone.

-The Internet Office is looking for volunteers to write articles for the new fictional newspaper. I've agreed to do an article for them. If you are interested, email me or the IO Office and we'll work something out.

-We need someone to volunteer to be the squadron's recruiting officer. If you would like to apply, email me.

Competitions

-ECR has started!!! This is a HUGE BG wide competition. The first phase is graphics. You are to make a banner that has something to do with the History of the BattleGroups. I expect 100% participation!! Even if you aren't any good at graphics (like me), then do this. Open up MSPaint, make some stick figures, a few Tie Fighters, and then write a new motto for the BG on it. Zip it up and send to me and voila! there's your submittion. This is due by Sept. 16 which is Monday! ( I attached my submission so that you can see how easy it is. :p) I've gotten a graphic from everyone except for Miak (who just joined today) and one other pilot...you know who you are. :p

-Suit up! Everyone is to fly TIE-Free 199 for our competition with Yod. The Yod commander has said that if they win, he wants a Cyclone in a Bottle to go in his trophy cabinet. I told him that WHEN we win, we're going to get his Yod MoJo. I want these to me by next Friday.
