GOOOOOOOD MOOORNING Wing VI!!!!

OK I know I’m behind again, I started my new job last week and the Thursday before the Easter break I’m off on visits with some of our staff and I pick up a case of Novovirus from our depot or one of our customers. For those that haven’t had, or heard of Novovirus it’s also known as Winter Vomiting Syndrome.

You can, I assume, imagine what my Easter break was like. I’ll leave that there!

OK so Kaisin has launched Jeopardy and there’s a few days left to get entries in, including mine and win some shineys.

Not one person has bothered to get in touch over the ISD Warriors back story, so I’m going to assume you don’t care and I’ll write it myself. I was hoping to get some involvement but there you go. Frankly this is indicative of the activity levels in the Wing at the moment. I realise we had a major change recently with the TC effectively going on hold whilst things got sorted, and I know there was a trauma of leaving the Sov and heading to the Warrior but we really need to pick ourselves up and get moving again.

With that in mind I’m currently planning flying and fiction competitions that I know you’ll all just die if you don’t join in on!

Yes that was a threat!

I’m going to keep the back story section here and give you a chance to steer the back story in a certain direction, if no-one does I’ll pick one of the options that I like the sound of and move us on. So here goes Part 2!

ISD Warrior Back Story Part 2

So as we’re an older ship rather than a new one as suggested by Kaisin I’ve decided to go with the most juicy option for the Warriors past that is she was an old EH ship of the line that had been mothballed in a secret storage area, (probably not far from Enders “The Luggage” if you’ve read that story) because of a historic incident, Now we need to decide what happened and why.

Here are this week’s options for discussion:

a) The crew mutinied, went over to the NR but the ship was retaken by HF forces and the ship was struck from the record and hidden away to hide the shame,
b) The ship was a test bed for an experimental shielding system which failed, killing the crew and making the ship dangerous to enter for years.
c) The ship was part of a major engagement in NR space and suffered massive damage, she was mothballed until the recent need for ships and then repaired and re-assigned.
d) The Warrior was a special forces transport ship and had been under a “black-ops” secrecy until now. Or…
e) Something else

Same as before, pick one that you like the sound of, give me a bit of detail about how you see it going and the best idea wins, failing that I’ll pick the one I like and be all dictatorial about it, (Not my ideal solution)

- Be active…get in touch….add something to the history of your new ship!
- Commanders write your reports and keep your people motivated.

New Wing competitions being launched this week, more details to follow but they will be flying and fiction based.

Activity

We need more, much more activity people. This place is as silent as the grave and that’s all of our duty to change.

Summary

Watch out for my competitions, enter Kaisin’s competition and get active. That’s all really, we’re here to have fun and do something SW based, I’m sure you would rather be doing that than sitting there reading my reports.

So go do it and then let your commander know what you’ve done so you can get double credit, credit for the activity and credit for the e-mail telling them about it….simples!
