- SQUADRON NEWS -

  • First round of the Sovereign League playoffs will end Tuesday, the 15th at 23:59 EST. Diamondback qualified in ALL THREE categories so let me congratulate to everyone who participated in this competition so far, you did an excellent work guys! Now, I'm not asking you to fly for High Score all three battles as it would be a bit too much, our priorities are: XvT then XWA and TIE for last, still let's try to get decent score in all three categories! Also, I know some of you don't like XWA but I decided to put it as our secondary objective because TIE battles are usually longer and require extra time if you want to fly for HS (laser-less score, you know...). On the contrary XWA missions are relatively easier so it will take less time to complete them.
  • Thanks to the awesome flying activity of CPT Tvan'Oris Diamondback is leading the Intrepid Activity competition with points! Congratulations to LCM Zhaim Jifarr on the completion of all the crappy battles assigned to him for citations, that helped Diamondback a lot.   • CM Shai is leaving Diamondback for Reserves and if you checked previous mails you also know the reason of his transfer. Shai, I can only express my deepest condolences again and I wish you to recover from this extremely difficult time soon.
  • Zhaim has passed TM IWATS test with a score of 100%, excellent job! Well, it looks like there's a new mission designer in TIE Corps.
  • Anna Darksaber and FO History competitions are still on. Check out details below and try to participate if you have some spare time left from SSL and Intrepid Activity Comp.

  • IRC Quote of the Week (QotW)
    14:01 - Fleet Admiral Aiden Cantor Karias [io@absolutek.ca]
    Starting this week, I will begin selecting an IRC Quote of the Week for inclusion in the COMM report, and to be displayed on the upcoming new COMM site.

    What can the QotW be you might ask? It can be pretty much anything amusing or taken out of context said on IRC in an EH channel.

    Nominations for QotW can be sent to me at io@absolutek.ca. The person who submits the QotW will have there name prominently displayed beside the winning entry, and possibly at a later date, win a medal (I will have to talk to the TO first though). Any EH member from any subgroup may submita QotW nomination.
  • Parallax War
    13:18 - VA Kyle Katarn [Kyle.Katarn@isdcolossus.com]
    Parallax War will start on the 15th of July. It wíll include the TRA and the FES on the beginning. More clubs join soon. It will be held daily in #Parallax on Undernet and same Bot System as in the daily comps are used. NOTE: As long as the Parallax War are underway ALL daily comps are cancled. They will start on 1st August again!

    I shall be on-leave commencing tomorrow morning (Saturday 12th July) until the following Saturday (19th July) to attend a conference and have a short vacation.

    During this time, the Flight Officer shall be grading the IWATS CORE Course. All other questions, comments etc. should still be directed to me, but please be aware that there will be a short delay in answering them until I return.

ISD-II Intrepid Activity Comp!

Start Date (mm/dd/yy): 7/1/2003 
End Date (mm/dd/yy): 8/25/2003 

Medals to be Awarded: IS-SW to Top MP Pilot IS-SW to Top SP Pilot IS-SR To Top IWATS IS-SR To Top Fiction and Graphics IS-BWs and IS-BRs for second places respectfully. Top winning Squadron gets the title of WC's Own, Top Pilot gets the title of COM Protector.
 
Miscellaneous Information: For Every mission flown, one (1) point is awarded to the pilot who flew it. Every fiction sent to the Intrepid Flags gets between 1 and 5 points (up to the Flag's discretion.) 3 points for every Iwats course passed. NO POINTS FOR HIGH SCORES. In addition a Ladder is going on, every ladder loss is worth two points, and every Ladder Win is worth 3. In the end, the pilot with the most points for each section gets an IS-SW or IS-SR (depending the Section) and IS-BW and IS-BR for seconds.
