Hornet Squadron News:

CMDR Stryker has left because of RL situations (namely, moving around the US). New CMDR is me, MAJ Kenath Zoron.

Almost everyone has reported in or shown some activity this week! That's great stuff!

Personnel Transfers:

- Hornet Squadron has lost 3 pilots and gained 2:

• MAJ Stryker has left due to RL; LT Deryll has left as well due to RL; and CPT Optimus has left with RL issues too
• MAJ Zoron has joined as new Hornet CO; COL Wil Striker has joined as the new FL III

Medals and Awards:

• Wil receives an ISM! Nice work there Wil, keep it up! 
• LCM noWedge earns 1 LoC in the XWA WoW! Nice work nW!

Current Competitions:

- There are currently several competitions running at the Squadron level, the Battlegroup level, and the Fleet-wide level. Hornet members should participate in as many of these as possible.

Fleet-wide Competitions: 

• #ehcoc MP Events [On hold]: These will resume on August 1st, after Parallax war ends.
• #parallax MP competition: This competition is hosted in the channel #parallax. Join the channel and sign up to play either XvT or XWA against whoever is available to fly! Use !xvtadd EHPIN# or !xwaadd EHPIN# to join the lists. Competitors include the TRA, FES and other EHers. Others to follow. 
• XvT Week of War:  This is hosted at BSC and flown on the Zone. This competition starts today. Info can be found at Battlestats or on the Zone.  All Hornet members should try to participate at these! If you have any questions please email me!

Battlegroup Competitions: 

• BGCOM's XvT/XWA WoW incentive comp AD Darksaber awards IS-GW/IS-SW/IS-BW to the top 3 ASF winners in each WoW. Avenger's LC Az has a stranglehold on the top spot most months, who will step up to challenge him next?

Hornet Competitions: 

• New Flight Names [Pending Approval]: If you can design new flight names, that the majority of the squadron likes, you will win a Iron Star Bronze Ribbon.
• Recruitment [Pending Approval]: Hornet pilots will be awarded a Iron Star Bronze Ribbon for recruiting new pilots! This includes new pilots off the Daedalus or old pilots returning from the RSVs.

• MAJ Kenath Zoron: Promoted to Hornet CMDR, Completed IWATS SM/3
• MAJ Jer Stryker: Retired to RSVs. You will be missed mate.
• SL Hef: In contact, looking to get his LT promotion ASAP
• LCM Draiff Stryker: No contact yet! I will be trying to get ahold of you later today!
• CPT Grimlock: Currently on leave, responded to emails.
• CPT Optimus: Left for RSVs. Sorry to see you go man.
• LT Laurence Angelo: No contact yet either! I will be trying to get ahold of you as well today!
• COL Wil Striker: Joined Squadron as FL III; flew XWA-CAB 3, XWA-FCHG 2 and 3, and XWA-TC 32 and 33; Earned ISM
• LT Zerphirio Deryll: Left for RSVs. Hope to see you back sometime man.
• LCM noWedge: Won LoC in XWA WoW L. Nice work!

CMDR's Thoughts

Pilot of the Week Wil Striker! Even though he was new to the squadron, he still flew 5 battles and helped me get settled into my new post! This was a great show of activity and I hope everyone else will take notice!

Great work noWedge on hitting that 50 CR plateau! Good stuff man :D
