Weekly Squadron Report

From the Commander's Office
Alrighty. Big news is that our own Keiran Laserlight is the new CMDR of Vortex Squadron. Yes, I know I said in the previous WSR that Apophis Kuma was going to get it, but things change rapidly, it seems. You'll see in a week or so.
Vance Blackguard was promoted to a full Lieutenant earlier this week by completing an IWATS course. He has already shown he is willing to contribute to the wellness of the squadron and wing. Give him a 'congratulations' next time you see him, eh?
With the departure of Keiran, I am looking for a new Flight Leader to take over Two Flight. If you feel you are dedicated enough, send me an e-mail or chat with me via IRC. We'll work it out.
Alrighty, tons of comps started on the first. First is the FCHG Train, which is basically a bonus IS-BW for the biggest FCHG gainer each month. Then we have Back to School comp. We're lacking IWATS completions I see, so the person who completes the most each month snags an IS-BR. And don't forget that the Recruiting Comp is still going on. Each pilot you bring into the squadron gets you an IS-BR, plus assorted Wing/Ship stuff.
Last comp is a Wing level competition. Three Flight's motto is rather long (and in my opinion, stupid). IS-SR to the person in Wing XIII (including our WC and COM) who comes up with a new, shorter, and interesting name. Details can be found here.
Check out the Squadron Website for updated news, and stupid little things here and there that are somewhat funny and hilarious. Do it. Now.

Commander Laserlight is new Vortex CMDR.
The wing grows weekly! We're gaining pilots!
Check out Sarin's reports for details on the Grey Wolf Monthly Iron Star comps. Iron Stars are being given out for Recruiting, Fiction, Graphics, etc. Something for everyone!

High Admiral Patel resigned as Flight Officer/TIE Corps Commander this week. Pri was a smashing FO (and the only one I knew!), and will be missed. The CA:FO, Fleet Admiral Cyric is currently handling FO stuff.
Just a reminder that multi-player comps are held 24/7 in #ehcoc on the Undernet. I'm sure you all know about that. Here's telling you again.
It seems that Admiral Kyle Katarn is finally getting the Combat Operations Office out of its state of limbo and hell. Jolly good.

Final Thoughts
Okay, the Vice Admiral has said that Recruiting has become a number one priority for this ship. On Monday I will start the Crusader Recruiting Comp that will last indefinetly. Each pilot you recruit will result in an IS-BR. Maybe something more for those who recruit a lot. In addition, there will be a Wing level Recruitment comp, and a ship level comp. So get recruiting!
Remember people, as I have mentioned before: This is a multi-player ship and battlegroup. While flying multi-player is not mandatory (and I certainly won't make you do it), that is what we're here for. Plus, it's far more fun than single-player, especially when we have 2v2s and 3v3s. Trust me, it's a blast.
Squadron Citations List
Crusader Squadron currently has a whopping 11 citations. This is due to our new pilot, Vance, but more pilots are always better than citations. We'll get them back sooner or later!
