Salute
Well guys, it’s time for a new report. Last week I was hoping that by the time I’ll be writing this WSR I’ll be a proud and happy CMDR. Unfortunatelly this didn’t happen and I realised that it was partially my fault. We’ll talk a bit about this further on in this report.

COMMANDER’S OFFICE
There was an annoying silence in my office this week, since only 3 of you knocked at my door. So I had nothing else to do but to meditate about the strategy I used and what went wrong.
The competition vs Odin ended today and I don’t think I need to tell you who the winner is. Since except for Maiko no one else cared to fly anything it’s quite obvious Odin won.
Well, the main problem is not that we lost this time, because in all competitions there’s always a winer and a looser and this time Odin was the best. The problem is the lack of interest everyone showed for this competition.
At this point of my meditation I realised I made a stupid mistake and that we shouldn’t have had this competition, anyway not at this moment.
And here comes the part ,that you surely won’t enjoy, where I’m going to say that you’re at least as guilty as me for what happened. Let me be more specific:
The idea of this competition came up a long time ago, even before I went on vacation. Even since then I kept e-mailing you and asking you how you feel about it and if we should go on with it or not. Unfortunatelly you didn’t answer , neither to say I can count on you nor to say you don’t agree with the idea. So I had to take the decision alone and I made a mistake.
Just a few days before the competition was about to start, Wes announced me he’s taking a 3 weeks leave, Dark Archon stoped receiving my e-mails, Jamie e-mailed me and told me he would fly but he’s bored by the games, I just found out yestreday that Ardan was away as well due to his job, I knew Miack is on leave but I was hopping he’ll be back in time for the competition , which didn’t happen and above all this I had my house upside down which made it imposible for me to fly.
This left the squadron with only 2 active pilots (since Reelo just joined the squad and is still waitting for me to send him XWA), Les and Maiko, out of which only Maiko flew. I have no news from Les.
Well, if I knew all this before I made the arrangements with Yoda, this competition would have been delayed or simply canceled.
But I didn’t know, so I threw the squad into a competition lost from the start.
That’s why I say once again you’re as guilty as me for making fools of ourselves.
I want to remind you that there is absolutelly no problem for any of you who have RL or any other kind of problems to take a leave as long as you LET ME KNOW!
I’m not trying to find excuses , Odin fairly won and I want to congratulate them.
I really hope we’ll all learn something from this mistake and we’ll never be put in this position ever again.

1. The new FO has been appointed. Congratulations to former ASF BGCOM and GW COM, FA Cyric!
2. MAJ Yoda will be resigning this week as Odin CMDR. You really did a great job there Tom :)
3. “Thirst for revenge” competition between Tartarus and Odin ended today. The winner is Odin Squadron. Congratulations!

GREY WOLF TOP GUN COMPETITION
Incoming Alert!

Battle Stations! Battle Stations! Competitive War time is about to start.

In just a couple short days the ship will receive a mission to fly for this new comp as was set up by yours truly ;)

On Friday Sept. 12th I will send out a brief and the mission to fly for the next week ending on Sept. 18th for round #1 of the GW TG comp. I will do so for each and every consecutive week for the remainder of the comp. Results will be posted by me at the end of the week.

Remember it's to your benefit for all to participate where possible if nothing else do it for the FCHG points you'll earn and who knows maybe, just maybe, you'll be the one to be able to say, "I WON THE GW TG as the Top Gun Pilot onboard!"

POETRY CORNER
We’ll never know

I thought I heard a voice and turned my head,
I thought that you came back to me,
But all I saw was emptyness instead
I tried to find what I was looking for, but I just couldn’t see.
And then I started to cry, I knew you won’t be coming back to me
I just remembered all those heavy words we said to one another
But I also rembered how good it used to be,
All those days we used to swear love to eachother.
And there’s a question that keeps coming to my mind
What if I have never let you go?
What if I could try and turn back time?
Would you still be here and would you still be mine?
But times we’ve lost are never coming back , so
I just guess we’ll never know.



LAST THOUGHTS
This should be about all for this report.
The squadron is not in it’s best shape at this moment and we have been given a harsh lesson about what means to want more than we can get.
I only hope we’ll find the good part of this and we’ll get the right conclusions.
The activity was pretty low around here for a long time and trying to face a squadron that was chosen WC’s Own last month was definetly a mistake.
I think we have to try and take it step by step and try get Tartarus moving.
Maybe some inside competitions would be a good idea…I’ll think of this and let you know. If you have any ideas, please let me know!
Till then, the most important thing is for us to stay in touch.
Tartarus can be the best, but we can only do it together.
