Another great week for the squad this week! Not quite as busy as last week, with Sav taking a 'nap' and all, but I've still had a steady turnover of BSF's from Ace, so we're still ticking over the points for the Intrepid Wing Comp...which is great! However we will soon be having a departure in the ranks, which you can read more about in the Squad News section.

 

On the subject of pilots leaving/moving, I've always encouraged and left a note in my reports to recruit, but now we need it more than ever. However, I'm not talking about Krayt itself. If you have read Cobra's latest WSR, they currently have 2 pilots of the 5 on their roster being AWOL'd as we speak...so we have to try and help fill the void left in other squadrons aswell as our own. Shalvros is currently on his way to Krayt, so we will soon have 7 members, so if you manage to recruit more people I encourage you to send them to another Intrepid Squadron. I'd(and I'm sure the flags agree) rather see all our squadrons at 6+ members, than have 2 at 10 and the other 4 with only 3, 4 and 5 members! Also means less excuses when we whup their butts in Squad Comps ;)

 

Oh and one last little note for us all. After reading Frodo's last report, I've decided we needed to have a 'word of the week', so here it is: 'PARTICIMAPATE'. I'd like to thank our COM, Frodo for providing us with this brilliant word from the english language :D

General News;

 - Some sad news for the wing this week......Frodo is back! :P Good to have the boss back and make sure he doesn't try to repaint anything back to that ugly green again! This also means that Frodo is back in control of the scoring, so if you have any GFX or Fiction, make sure you send it on to him - cc'ing me of course ;)

 - The fleet is currently searching for apps for a new OPS Officer. Hopefully one will be chosen soon and everything we're currently waiting on will be done.

 - The previously thought defunct Mr & Mrs EH Comp has all of a sudden been decided. A low voter count was mentioned....which is not surprising considering noone knew about it! Congratulations go out to Mr EH, HA Ari and Ms EH, MAJ Jaron Kai!!

 - The TO has just started a comp in which the winner (the person with the most approved competitions) wins an Iron Star - Platinum Ribbon. In conjunction with this, DS has unasshamedly(:P) made a competition for people to send him competition ideas. Who said DS wasn't clever? ;)

 - COO Kyle Katarn has started a banner comp to design a new Combat Operations Office banner. Information can be found here: http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=799.

 - The 'Heroes Flag' Competition has finished - CPT Tempest and CPT Chris McCollum finished 1st and 2nd respectively.

 - On one last note, the Sovereign Squadron League finishes tonight at midnight EST...it's been a great comp and it shall be interesting seeing who comes out of the final round the victors. Especially in XvT where the final is our very own Diamondback Squadron vs the ASF Flags Squadron!!! Play nice fellas :P

Krayt is now in 1st place! We're about 150-200 points clear of Diamondback, which is a good lead, but dont slack off just yet...cuz it aint over yet! WC's Own here we come! :)

 - Frodo also mentioned in his weekend report that Krayt Squadron is now 2nd only to Diamondback as the highest citation holding Squadron in the ASF!!! So, Congratulations are in order for everyone!!

 - MSE Medals have been put through etc, we're now just waiting on the new OPS to be chosen so that lucky person can award us all our medals ;)

 - Now for a little bad news. I'm not sure if you've seen the EH news page, but LCM Obiwan has only recently been placed as Fleet Commander's Assistant(FCA) and has now been elevated to Special Operations Director - so with this new appointment he will no longer be part of Krayt Squadron.....he'll be joining the Admirality I believe. Congrats Obiwan and good luck in your new position :)

 - This also means I'll be looking for a new Flight II Flight Leader soon, so if your interested let me know so I can consider you when I'm making my decision.
