Welcome to the newest Kappa Squadron report. First off, my apologies
for the huge delay of this report... my dad kept me busy with work
around the house over the weekend, and my motivation to write reports
in the evenings was kinda low... let's pray for bad weather. :P

On a side note, I guess I have to CC FOA COL Reaper in my reports
from now on, at least that's how I understood it... if I got it wrong,
let me know Colonel. :)


Squadron News

- The medals we won in the Sovereign League have arrived.
Also, Shimir's CoL has finally got through, so a double-party for
him! :)

- SL Jules Vega has been removed from the roster, since he didn't show
any activity for over a month. Thus, I guess he won't be missed
much, but still sad to see a pilot go. :(

- Due to my incredible greatness, I was promoted to LC this week,
drinks are on me. :)
Congrats go out to Zekk, Seth, and Carl, who have received the same
promotion. And thanks Stele and Proton! :)

- General Sasquatch has invited me to join Omega Squadron. But well,
as you can see, I'm still here. So you've bribed him all for
nothing, hehehe. :)

- The Sovereign Cup, the newest competition run by Todbringer, will
start soon. There were only 32 places in this comp and they are all
filled now. I'm glad to see three Kappans on the list, being Roasty,
Shimir, and myself.

- Also, preparations for Imperial Storm IV are coming, in which we are
to prevent the Sov from being sunk. For details, explanations about

- Seth has challenged us for an inter-squad-comp against Rho. No
details yet, though. We'll wipe the floor with them anyway, eh? :P

- And also GN Stele has a comp in the making, similar to Inkwolf's
Raid. More details as soon as I get them. :)

- Tactical Officer's Assistant (TACA) sought (FA Marcin Szydlowski)
I am looking for TACA. (possible promotion to CA:TAC when proven as
valuable staff member). I will need a guy with good HTML and
scripting skills (ASP prefered, PHP is ok). Javascript a plus.

First assignment will be building GTA database and some other minor
projects. I need serious candidates, cause I expect the best and I
award the best.

- New WING XVIII Commander chosen (FA Cyric)
Congrats to MAJ D. T. Hammer on his promotion to Major and in taking
over the duties of WC for Wing XVIII. Major Jaron Kai has stepped
down and transfered to the reserves.

- Mission Compendium going offline (FA Marcin Szydlowski)
Final preparations to release Project Shield require taking mission
compendium offline and updating all links. Soon you will start
seeing .ehm files instead of .zips. Do not download them, cause you
won't be able to instal them. As soon as I will finish update of all
link, we will release software and you will play battles again.

- FA Cyric appointed New FO (FA Cyric)
For those who haven't heard, FA Cyric has been appointed the new FO.

- Flight Office News (AD Cyric)
All Processing sent into HA Priyum has been finished! If anything

- EHCOC Update (VA Kyle Katarn)
I am sorry for my lack of time in the past.
Here is a lil update.

I awarded the scores given to me when the bot was down
I will announce a COOA tomorrow
I finally got time to award the EHCOC Banner Comp Medal. An IS-GR
goes to CPT Abel Malik. Congratz!
Also the Bot is working again. I got today a mail again!

- Commendations of Loyalty (RA Alex Foley)
All outstanding Commendations of Loyalty have now been awarded and
approved. If anyone is missing theirs, please e-mail me at

- Internet Office Assitant Needed (HA Ari)
The Internet Office would like to heartily congratulate our very own
Alex Foley upon his appointment as the new Operations Officer.
However, we're also sad to see him leave his stellar career as IOA.
Obviously, that means I require a replacement. This IOA position
that needs to be filled is a rather important one, with many duties.
However, it can be the most rewarding (as Alex Foley can testify...)
as well. Some primary duties will include:

- Being responsible for finding a SOTW and poll every week
- Having initiative to start new projects and see them out to
completion
- Assisting in EHW development (preferably on the PHP side)
- Working closely with a variety of CS members
- Must have a strong IRC presence.
- Must have PHP experience (usually I don't mandate this, and I'll
even accept ASP, but in this one case it matters)
- Graphics capability desirable, but not necessary

If you feel you are qualified for this position, please apply to me
(ari@tiecorps.org). Being an IOA means you'll be exposed to a lot of
the fleet, not just TC, so you should have a personable and
confident character. It also means you'll be working on some of the
more important projects going on in the fleet. I will accept
requests to transfer to full-time IOA (in which case I have
promotion authority) if the successful applicant so desires. Please
include 1 or 2 references in your application, as well as a minimum
of 2-3 examples of your PHP and/or graphics work. If you have any
questions, don't hesitate to ask me.
