Weekly Squadron Report

This is CPT Vladet Xavier reporting in for Crusader Squadron on August 29th, 2003

No quote today, folks!

From the Commander's Office

Alrighty, tons of comps started on the first. First is the FCHG Train, which is basically a bonus IS-BW for the biggest FCHG gainer each month. Then we have Back to School comp. We're lacking IWATS completions I see, so the person who completes the most each month snags an IS-BR. And don't forget that the Recruiting Comp is still going on. Each pilot you bring into the squadron gets you an IS-BR, plus assorted Wing/Ship stuff.

Last comp is a Wing level competition. Three Flight's motto is rather long (and in my opinion, stupid). IS-SR to the person in Wing XIII (including our WC and COM) who comes up with a new, shorter, and interesting name. Details can be found here.

Check out the Squadron Website for updated news, and stupid little things here and there that are somewhat funny and hilarious.

Ship News

The CMDR of Phoenix, Choosh, has been promoted to the glorious rank of Major. Let's all congratulate him, if you will.

Major Yoda of Odin Squadron snagged a Commendation of Loyalty (CoL) for his, well, loyalty to the ship. Yessir, us Monks get the good stuff.

Check out Sarin's reports for details on the Grey Wolf Monthly Iron Star comps. Iron Stars are being given out for Recruiting, Fiction, Graphics, etc. Something for everyone!

Recruit pilots, will you? Good ones.

Just a reminder that multi-player comps are held 24/7 in #ehcoc on the Undernet. I'm sure you all know about that. Here's telling you again.

If you make XWA missions, read the TIE Corps News Page. A nice comp for next year's SSL is going on.

"Comp Comp" is going on right now by the Training Office. Any CMDR up to BGCOM is encouraged to submit Competitions to the Training Officer (Keldorn) for that very rare Iron Star - Platinum Ribbon.

The position of Operations Officer (OPS) is still open for applications. If you honestly think you've got the qualfications (or a chance for that matter), DO send your applications to Sector Admiral Astatine and Grand Admiral Ronin. Best of luck.

Final Thoughts

Okay, the Vice Admiral has said that Recruiting has become a number one priority for this ship. On Monday I will start the Crusader Recruiting Comp that will last indefinetly. Each pilot you recruit will result in an IS-BR. Maybe something more for those who recruit a lot. In addition, there will be a Wing level Recruitment comp, and a ship level comp. So get recruiting!

Remember people, as I have mentioned before: This is a multi-player ship and battlegroup. While flying multi-player is not mandatory (and I certainly won't make you do it), that is what we're here for. Plus, it's far more fun than single-player, especially when we have 2v2s and 3v3s. Trust me, it's a blast.
