Big congratulations to CM Dan Jenkins on his CoL! Keep up the great work! The first round is on me, but after that...:)

Top Ace continues again this month. On Dan's request, I've picked an XWA-IW battle, #7 "The Valiant and the Immortal". You have until the end of the month to get your pilot files to me.

Sovereign League XWA Battle Creation Contest
10:34 - HA Priyum Patel [spellfire@btinternet.com]
The SSSD Sovereign Squadron League coordinators are pleased to announce a battle creation competition leading up to the SSL 2004. The Sovereign League XWA Battle Creation Contest runs through 12/31/2003, and is open to all XWA mission creators in the TC.

Entrants must create a four-mission XWA battle, absolutely without patches, for use in the SSSD Sovereign League 2004.

The competition has four monthly rounds; each month, a "best battle" will be selected by the Sovereign League judges. The winner of each round will receive an IS-GR; runner-up, IS-SR; and third place, IS-BR.

The SSL judges desire to use high-quality XWA battles for the SSL 2004. XWA creators will construct one or more four-mission battles (no less or more than four missions); absolutely no patches are to be used with the battles. Top battles will be judged by the SSL staff, then sent off to the TAC office. The TAC has agreed to accelerate testing and confirmation of the winning battles so they will be available in the compendium in time for the start of the SSL 2004 in January. Medals awarded for this contest will be separate from any TAC-awarded mission creation awards.

Competition details can be seen at: http://www.emperorshammer.net/competitions/details.asp?ID=856

Send all questions and entries to LC Todbringer, MAJ Artyis and AD Proton at todbringer@poczta.onet.pl, artyis@silvershark.com.pl and hullbreach@warpmail.net.

Check the TC News page for the announcement of the FC's Birthday awards. The tables didn't paste well.

MISCELLANEOUS
-----------------------

Now on to the good stuff I mentioned at the beginning of this report. First things first, Deadpool's back in business. My buddy and I were going to swap out the power supply last night, but while unplugging power cables, he noticed that one of the connections on the Molex connector on the video card was severely discolored. The bleeding thing burnt out. YAY!! While I wish it hadn't happened, I'm stoked to finally have the problem solved. Let the serious hardcore gaming commence!!

Shortly before my buddy arrived last night to fix the computer, I finally got Homeworld 2's demo downloaded. More mirrors are desparately needed for that demo. It rocks! There's one tutorial mission in it and two missions from the single-player game and two multi-player maps. The graphics are beautiful, they actually taxed my system a little bit, but I need more system RAM. The interface changes aren't all that major, but they do make it a LOT easier. I recommend downloading it highly.

The party I went to last night was interesting. Had quite a few good words put in for me with a few ladies by various buddies. Also got clearance to drop in once in a while on the cute little blonde I mentioned in one or two reports end of last semester. Heh, this might be interesting...:)

Thanks everyone for the advice on the chick situation. Time to get my hairy carcass out and put it to use. :)

You know, my ego's getting pumped up now. This could be extremely dangerous. :P

I think that about covers it for this week.

Thanks,

Lieutenant Colonel Josh Popelka
