Hey all. Yet another great week for the squadron and I really am enjoying being the Commander of such an active unit. We FINALLY got our MSE's through this week, although poor old Sav is still waiting for his :\ Most of the report is pretty much self explanitory this week, but there is two things I want to mention. Firstly, I wanted to announce that Krayt will soon be full! I have another old fogey XWA MP friend of mine joining us next week, and Arid has informed me he has 2 more new recruits coming. That will put us at 11, which makes me happy and if they're all as active as 4patas (Mike and Squall included) I will be a VERY happy man!

 

Secondly, I just wanted to give you guys the heads up that you may have a free mission competition to fly for next week. I'm getting sick of not having something to fly these free's for, and I thought for that reason and to prevent you from having to fly all the free's just for FCHG that I would give myself a kick up the a$$ and get a comp going. So expect an email on monday or tuesday with a link to the comp details and telling you what you have to fly. I will also be participating in these comps....however I wont be flying to win too often....and dont make me have to either! ;)

 - Dont forget about the XvT Ship Patch - It can be found at the SCO's Patch Archive at http://www.minos.net/~sco/files/games/index320.html and makes it a hellova lot easier to fly all the battles!

 - There are also a couple of current HTML/Website competitions to take part in. Both the XO and the ISD Vanguard are having competitions to find themselves a new website. More details on the TC news page.

 - The replacement for VA Philo has been found, congrats to Vice Admiral Styles for making it to CA:TAC. This also means that we get to keep our beloved COM :P
 - XvT TC 28 has now been unlocked and is usable now with the help of the XvT Ship Patch. TIE Free's 239 and 240 were also released this week. P.S. If one more of you guys flies this I think we'll get a citation!!

 - The Imperial Storm IV competition has now ended aswell. After a rather 'shambled' last sortie, the WO declared the match a loss for the Battlegroups and the Sov 'escaped' to Aurora and won the wargame.

 - The 'Beer Cup' competition is still going strong - so dont forget to fly TIE-TC 211, XvT-TC 75 and/or XWA-TC 24. Fly what you can so the Intrepid can help the Van pwn the Sov.

 - On a last note, the FO is now back from his leave, all sun tanned and ready to pale in front of the computer screen again no doubt ;)

 - LCM Arid has just released his latest Citations Report - see below in the 'Squadron Citations' section of this report what your assignments for this week are!

 - No more promotions this week....but we did see two MSE's come through. Congratulations to Arid and myself for our Palpatine Cresents....we're unfortunately still waiting on Savage's MSE to come through :(

 - I have now been told by Arid that Mike has fixed his comp and that Squall has let Arid know he's ready to fly, so with Ace 'back' in the next week or so once settled back in at uni, we'll be at full strength and activity in no time!!!

 - It's been really good to see a decent amount of participation in the squadron for the Beer Cup competition. Currently 4 of the 8 of us have flown, with one or two of us resubmitting higher scores aswell. We still have a week and a half left until all files are due (Nov 30), so if possible guys I would really love to see a blitz on the high scores and for everyone to get the highest scores they can. If you can only do one, do the XvT battle as Frodo has asked the wing to concentrate on that one in particular. I myself have flown the XvT and XWA battles, and I know how hard it is/will be to beat the high scores, but even if all of us can get 50% of the current high scores, and perhaps a few get 75% or more, we will help put the Intrepid and the Van in a good position to smack down the Sovereign!! In case you've forgotten what battles you need to fly, here they are again: TIE-TC 211, XvT-TC 75 and XWA-TC 24. Make me and the wing proud guys!!!

 - After missing our chance to fly for the Intrepid Realistic Combat comp last week, Arid, Cutter and myself met up last sunday to fly XvT-Free 73 in hopes of winning the comp and getting some shiny IS-SW's ;) We did quite well, getting over 100,000pts as Arid went in for the caps whilst Cutter and I flew cover and whooped some Rebel ass ;) The comp finishes this weekend we think (it has been extended previously), so hopefully next week we will have some great news and I will publish our complete scores/stats in next weeks WSR. I may even write a little story for it if I feel up to it :)
