In the complete silence, CPT Laserlight was finishing his latest starship model... With a magnyfying glasses at his nose, with glue and a wooden, wellpainted gun turret from the Modified Corvette 1:250 replica. The last few parts were missing in the model at the desk. These last pars requred some extra coordination of an eye and hand to be added. The gun turret itself required 10 minutes to be glued. the last tap of glue on the bottom and a slow move of the hand... Yes... The model looked like a real Corvette... In 1:250 scale. Every not controlled move coud affect with destruction of the precious ship...
"Sir!" - the comlink shouted. Keiran jumped from the chair. He quickly moved out of table. The glasses on moved at his black hair... The chair was moving on it's wheels for about 5 seconds after that. Luckly the model was not even moved. Pfew.
"Sir?"
"Yes... what's the problem Tiamat" - Keiran said to his comlink after having a bith breath
"Well.. It's about MAJ Hunter, sir... he had a little accident at the bathroom... Well he will be out for half of a week because the line for the bacta tanks is long... His in the Hospital Bay B now and sends his regards..."
"That's a problem Lieutenant. hmm.. Tell Hunter I'll visit him later tonight in the Ambulatory. You know that nothing puts up on legs like CMDR's sight heh..
"Will do. Anything else?"
"Yes... Please find someone for his place for the tomorrows patrol. You can say I'll buy him a drink or two in the cantina for replacing Hunter... Pilots are so lazy if it goes to show empathy these days."
"Aye, Tiamat out"
"Such things happen often if you ask me..." - Keiran tought - "Oh where was I with this model anyway?"
Keiran took his chair and moved it in front of the desk. He put on the glasses and came back to the M/CRV work. Ah the engine! The paint wasn't even dry yet. He decided to put it down and take on the hardest part. Putting in the tiny escape pods was indeed difficult. He moved the firs one in it's place and used his Corellian Army Knife to put on the glue. The second one and the third one were in the places in few minutes too. Keiran took the small lamp which was giving him the light he needed from the one side of the desk moved it to the other. Three more escape pods were waiting for placing. Let's see... slowly...
"Yes sir?" - Keiran stood up and looked into holographic eyes of his Wing Commander.
"I wanted to inform you that your squadron has been chosen Wing Commander's Own again. Great job Captain. Please pass mine congratulations to all you squadron. Oh.. I hear what happened to MAJ Hunter. Aren't such thing happening too often lately?"
"Indeed sir, thank you. We are honoured of course... If you mind.. I kind of busy now..."
"Ah yes I see... Once again great job! Keep it up." - LC Pelleaeon's face disappeared.
"The stress is
going to kill me..." - Keiran said aloud to himself. He sat down
and concentrated on the Corvette again. The escape pods were difficult
elements. Extreme precision was needed to attach them correctly. Those
three remaining ones took 15 minutes to be added. Keiran looked at the
last part - the engine. Each engine required to be glued to the model in
other time. The last one was just drying in Keiran's hand right now. He
put the glue on and moved his hand to the model. It sticked perfectly.
The Modified Corvette was finished. Another great making of the
technique.
The well known sound came out of the speaker. Somebody was at the door
and was waiting for a permission to enter the office.
"It's open."
Vance came in.
"Not Vance, not
Vance, oh no not Vance..." - Keiran tought. "LCM Blackguard...
Can I help you?" - He asked.
"MAJ Xavier sends a personal message... I don't know why he needed
me to pass it... I'll put it here OK?"
"No... there is no need of that." - but it was already too
late.
"Oh! What a nice model ! What's that? Oh of course It's Modified
Corvette! Ha! I am smart! Hmm.. what's the scale..." - he moved his
fingers around the small ship and counted in memory - "hmm it's
about 60 cm long so... and the real CRV is 150 meters long.... so it's
yeah... ha 1:250! Oh man that was easy. Is it finished... wait of course
it is! Look at all these details!"
"Vance" - Keiran wanted to stop the Crusader pilot but Vance
was already in the spree
"Oh the gun turret is so real... Is there a guy inside it? No,
no... It's too small to fit a human... Ha! I am smart!"
"Vance" - The
eyes of Keptin Laserlight were fogged.. the precious model was just in
front of the ship's unluckiest man.
"And these glowing engines... Really wellpainted. How long did it
took to build this thing? Hm I can count it.. 25 plus..
"Lieutenant Commander Can I have my message?"
"What... Oh that message... yes sure Captain." - Vance handed
the datapad and after a second his comlink called.
"LCM please step to the hangar.. You're new ship is here."
"Ha great! My brand new TIE Interceptor.. I'll name it Lucky Strike
14 sir! To honour these 13 crafts I already lost in combat or such. Can
I go?
"Sure fell free..." - Keiran said... Vance left the office and
walked to the hangar. The door closed. Vortex CMDR was left alone. And
the model was just next to him. Intact.
This kind of Miracles HAPPEN very rarely! Beware!
13th report. The unlucky number is not really bad for me. Time is passing and we have earned everything we could get! Wing's Commander's Own for the first, TCCOM's Own for another month, and a COM's Protector title in the squad. Bing the best isn't easy... but it's fun! Have it! You earned it!

CMDR's Final Notes
It's 6:40 in the morning and I am just leaving... But what I want to say is that I thank you once again. As I said.. anybody would want to be in charge of the crazy, maniac, insane, fantactic, buttkicking bunch of guys you are. We are an example to follow - we each show that TIE Corps isn't dead or someting. You're great once again.
