Good evening boys and girls of Wing VI.

And yes it was evening when I started, (it’s early morning now) and yes I do have a life that does more than write reports on a Saturday night, but I’m not drunk and I can’t sleep so leave me alone /paranoid

Well there goes another week, indeed another month and things have been happening, the Wing website is now completed, bar adding further information and as no-one has mentioned any problems I guess I must have got things right; and the Wings Monthly Evaluation is almost done so shineys may be in the post for some of you lucky, lucky people.

Very little activity this week that I’ve seen from most of you, thanks to all those who have contributed to the Wings activity with e-mails and assorted postings in different places, I appreciate everything you do for the Wing.

Great work there, but I have to make a special mention to Kappa’s LCM Witcher who not only flew, (yes that’s a PILOT in the TIE Corps FLYING!!!!), XWA free missions 132 and 143 but also got a new high score in the latter. Very well done LCM, keep up the flying and the good work with highscores.

As you will all have hopefully seen, COL Mirtez has launched “Jeopardy” a month long trivia competition. It’s simple to take part in, visit

look at the questions, answer them and send them to Kaisin for scoring. Lots and lots of shineys to be won and this competition will run until the end of the year or Kaisin gets fed up of the paperwork, whichever comes sooner. (Only joking Colonel (-: )

Finally from me, can I remind ALL OF YOU OF THE BIT BELOW THESE PARAGRAPHS ABOUT THE WARRIOR’S BACKSTORY. NOT ONE OF YOU HAS EVEN GIVEN ME A HINT ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE CREATED AND THAT MAKES ME GRUMPY!

ISD Warrior Back Story AGAIN

I mentioned that I’d like everyone to have an involvement in creating the back story to the Warrior so I can get it approved and then put onto the website.

So far everyone that has emailed me likes the idea that the Warrior isn’t a new ship that rolled out of the Aurorean shipyards but is an older ship that has some kind of chequered past so I’m offering a couple of suggestions. Are we:

a) A captured enemy ship that has been recommisioned/refurbished by the EH, if so what enemy?
b) An EH ship of the line that had been mothballed in a secret storage area, (probably not far from Enders “The Luggage” if you’ve read that story) because of a historic incident, if so what happened and why.
c) Something entirely different?

SOO VA Vip has released a new version of the TIE Corps Pilots Manual or the unofficial fleet officers bible as it probably should be known as. It’s pretty comprehensive and contains everything you guys need to know about systems, medals, promotions..well everything really so go read it!

Some good e-mailing and message-boarding I’ve been made aware of but I’d like to see a little more going on out there in cyber-space…come on people.

Summary

I hope everyone was glad to hear Vip wasn’t that badly injured by the release of my last report. A mild shock and a bruise on the gluteus maximus (to be fair that was from all the sitting down he does in his new role) is all he received. Hopefully this week’s not going to be as big a shock.

Now it’s your turn Wing VI, give me and your Commanders a shock by doing something. Give us your thoughts on the Warrior and where we go as well as were we came from. Fly a mission or two or simply post your thoughts on this mailing list.

Remember all it takes to be active is to send an e-mail here or there. We don’t ask for much, the more you want to do, the happier we are but an e-mail is all we ask.
