Here we are at report #3. My how time flies. Well on to the important things like, Merry Belated Christmas and have a happy soon in coming New Years celebration. Again I will understand if activity falls a bit. Just PLEASE make sure you check in with me atleast once a week so I know your alive and so I won't boot you to the RSVs. All it take is a simple email  to say hi I'm here but still busy for the holidays, etc. and all will be great! I am sorry for not doing much this past week, but Christmas kind of took over and well as we all know this can be very time consuming, especially if you have kids.

I took and unexpected 3 days of leave this week cuz we had to go visit friends and more friends (this was a wife thing :P) but now I'm back at home and ready to get back into action. CM Shikie has finally moved on to the Challenge to take on a challenge for his own. As you all know that he is taking over as the Inferno CMDR. I wish him the best of luck. That leaves the FL of Flight III open. However, no need to jump hoops over it cuz I've already decided who's going there, so once it gets approved, I'll announce it then.

One thing I would REALLY like to stress importance on, is Recruitment. With having  lost 2 members of the squadron taking us down to 5 as well as losing all our citations, we are in desperate need of new meat. So get your butts out there and find us some help! Don't forget I have that recruitment comp running, so if your looking for a possible easy medal then best get out there and recruit.

I don't want to keep saying that coming soon is the ASF:SC comp shortly after the new year starts and the more people we have the better our scores and ratings will be. So everyone is tasked with finding atleast one new person to fill a spot. Keep in the back of your head our squadron recruitment comp is open to the one who gets the most will earn a medal so you had better get busy if you want it!

SQUADRON COMMANDER'S OFFICE:

Ok guys here we are at the tail end of my report :) where I get to say thoughts and what's on my mind. Typically this is where I go nuts cuz by the time I get here I'm so dumb-founded and at a loss of words that I don't have much to say. I want to you all to remember that if your going to be away for more than a week on leave make sure you set your profile on the TC site to ON LEAVE this way if you forget to tell us, then atleast I can go online and check your profile and it won't be counted against you. However, if not then it will count and if you get 3 or more none reporting in times for a month you'll be passed to the RSVs. Sorry but that's the way it is. Again thought, all it takes is a simple email to me and then set your profile and tada its done.

Another note. I would like everyone to try and atleast do one of the following every week. Fly one FREE mission or battle a week, write a small piece of fiction, add a new reply to the current squadron run-on or something for the squadron message board, create a new FREE mission or new battle for the compendium, last of all I want at the least is a report from you saying I'm alive, well and kicking. So far the only one who has managed to do this consecutively is LCM Hunterwolf. I especially want to see this from the FLs, this is an all important position and something where you can make it to a CMDR position from there someday. But you'll have to do a few things, like report in about your flight (means actually writing a report about your flight activities), get recommendations, etc. This not only helps you tune your report writing, but gets you prepared for doing this as you would as a CMDR for yourself. Something that more people should be doing Fleet wide.

Having looked that over a period of the past three weeks and taking into account the activity level of all squadron members I would like to announce that we have a new Squadron Executive Officer. This will be the person who takes over for me if I need to go on leave for more than a few days and will be designated by me on the times when I will be unavailable. The new Squadron XO is: LCM Hunterwolf! Congratz!

Finale. As LCM Hunterwolf can vouch for me when I say I like to see squadron activity of any level. I don't care if you submit a simple stick figure graphic about the squadron or the TC/EH. But I like to see activity, unless your on leave. For this I will make every effort to reward you well. Especially for those up for a Promotion, which I belive there is one or two. But if not up for promotion, well there is the case of nice shiny medals. Trust me, when I say I will do what I can for you, however, you have to make a solid effort to show me that you are deserving of something. Otherwise you'll just get a silly MSE report, which will amount to nothing. Well that's all for this week, I hope to see more communications from the squadron soon, or I'll think that your all either drunk or stuck in the snow somewhere.

Sorry if I harp on the activity thing, but I shouldn't have to remind you all that we are here because we put ourselves here. We wanted to have fun, met new friends and enjoy our time here. I say to this, how can you have fun if you don't participate in anything? I understand that maybe some of you have been burnt in the past and have not gotten the things that you were promised. I can and will say that if you show the slightest bit of effort, I promise you that you will get those nicely earned medals or that well deserved promotion. Mostly I say all this cuz I want you all to succeed, I want to see you all go forth and be a great officer somewhere. Mostly its because I want Cobra Squadron to be the most active squadron on the ship. But to do that I will need your help. I want us to get good reviews, I want us to get WC Own as much as possible. Of course I want alot of things but those are just a couple. Well I'll stop with the nagging and hopefully over the next 4 days until the end of the month, you all will give me something to add to my MSE for the squadron. Have a great day!
