Echo Squadron Preliminary Report

Hello all and Welcome to my world! er, well I guess that would be, "Hey Mach, welcome to our world..." or something like that :P First off, let me introduce myself. I am CM Machinari and I come from Wing XIV and the Intrepid where I served in Copperhead Squadron under MAJ Jedi Eclipse. I served my squadron as flight leader, citation officer, and XO. Now, I serve you. I am your new CMDR--just incase you haven't caught that yet. Feel free to check out my personal profile. And come visit me on IRC in #isdvanguard or #ehcoc--I'm on quite a bit.

If in fact you have seen my profile, you'll no doubt notice that my forte is not XWA, but XvT. I have been working on XWA-TC #1 for over a week now. I am well versed in the game, just not well practiced. As the Vanguard is an XWA ship, my efforts have turned toward that platform, rest assured.

One of the largest pitfalls to coming into a squadron from another ship is the lack of history. I don't know anything about any of you, what you do or have done in the squadron, what you are capable of, your skills, why you still hold the rank that you do, etc. Currently I am going through your personal profiles to gain as much familiarity with you that I can. However, it would be helpful to me if all of you could email me in this regard. I'm looking for what you know about the squadron, how you feel about the squadron or the ship, what you have accomplished for the squad or for yourself, who makes graphics, who does fiction, what are your TC career goals, etc. Just tell me anything that you think would help me to become acquainted with you and with Echo Squadron. Also, tell me about your activity levels, your MP and SP activity, etc. Knowing these things will aid me in my regular weekly squadron reports, which will be published every Friday. Of course you may begin sending me your completed pilot files for BSF'ing--It's no longer necessary to send them to COL Nightmare.

Speaking of pilot files, be reminded that the "Beer Cup" is well under way and participation earns many smiley faces from your CMDR, WC, and COMM. You can find details for this competition below under "Current Comps." The battles involved are TIE TC 211, XvT TC 75, and XWA TC 24, and they are all attached to this email.

Though a bit wordy, this report is not really a proper squadron report and not what you will be regularly receiving from me. Once I finish going through your files and hopefully hear from all of you, then I will publish proper reports. One thing I noticed already, however, is that we have two SL's in our midst and one of whom has been so for approx. six months. Without knowing why this is, I must say that it is highly irregular and in fact unnacceptable. With ease there could be two promotions listed in my next report. Look here for details and let's talk about it.

On to business...
