Welcome to the newest Kappa Squadron Report. Please excuse the delay,
I've been very busy over the weekend preparing uni-stuff. Having to
hold a presentation without having really understood the matter myself
kinda sucks. :P


Squadron News
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯

- Shimir reported in and had some really bad RL stories to tell...
well, I hope it can all be sorted out soon. I perfectly understand
if you activity can't be great atm, just drop a line every now and
then so that we know what's going on, k? :)

- Results for the third round of the Sovereign Cup are out. Only the
best two pilots of each group made it into the next phase, which
will be run in a knockout system. The remaining pilots from Kappa
are Roasty (although he didn't participate last round) and myself,
while Shimir is out due to his hectic RL preventing him from flying
recently.

- The Beer Cup is over with the Sov winning, although it was
apparently a close one, since participation wasn't that great. From
Kappa there were zero entries... kind of a shame, really. Perhaps if
I've had more time and less aversion against TIE95, I could have
made it, but well... and for your info guys, just because the CMDR
can't participate in a comp (which he normally should, of course),
that's still no reason for all of you to slack off.

Squadron Orders

- The matches (envolving Kappans) for the first round in the knockout
phase of the Sovereign Cup are:

LC Tempest vs. LCM Arid Foxtrot
COL Astarosta vs. LT Brin Chaser

I don't know much about these two... but they made it through the
seeding phase, so we better give our best. :)
The mission is TIE-Free 179 (attached), deadline is Dec 19th.
Todbringer wants us to use the EHM mission files where possible, but
if the EHBL doesn't work for you, using the zip version is also

- New SO appointed (SA Astatine)
CA:SO Ziggy has been appointed SO. He had the most appropriate
combination of experience and personality for the position. As such,
he can now rightfully carry the Bloodied Baton of SOness(tm).


- Wing IV WC sought (FA Cyric)
AD Proton is accepting applications for Wing IV WC following the
resignation of LC Mayk Wolverine. The application period is open
through Wednesday, Dec. 10. Mail apps to hullbreach@warpmail.net

Requirements include:

-- Must have held the position of CMDR in the TC for no less than
four months in one tour.
-- Must have passed SM/2 or SM/3.
-- Be able to reply to mails and process BSFs within 24-48 hrs.
-- Report on time each week.
-- Must be willing to handle a great deal of admin work to aid the
running of the wing.
-- Be able to motivate pilots and keep the CMDRs working to improve
their squads and performance.
-- Must be able to create and run various competitions for the wing.
-- Applicant must be 100% dedicated to the wing to see goals
achieved,and have the will to drive to that end.
-- No serious HCI convictions in the past 12 months.
-- A sincere sense of duty and loyalty to the SSSD Sovereign and a
commitment to participation in the activities of the Brotherhood
of Sovereign Flag Officers.
-- Strict adherence to the TC standing orders and Sovereign policy.

Add your future plans for the wing, and what steps you'll take to
encourage recruitment, activity and keep things running smoothly.

As is my usual final note: Flakes, cheaters, resume-padders and
anger-management cases need not apply.


- EH Census: Update (AD Darknyte)
So far I'd like to state that the Logistics Staff has been very
pleased with the response we've gotten thusfar from the EH Census
project.

With that in mind I'd like to remind everyone that new questions are
still being added periodically and that we'd greatly appreciate it
if participants could make an effort to try to login at least once
per week until the Census has been completed.

This will allow all members to answer questions that have been added
since they initially took the Census. Already I know we've added
around 10-15 questions in various areas, and more are still coming
as support for the Census grows and more officers request questions
added.

If anyone knows a question that should be added, please email the
Logistics Officer with your questions so we can evaluate and add
them as needed.

Again, thank you all for making this project a success!

I've appointed two new TCCs. Congrats to MAJ D.T Hammer new TCC:TIE
and CM Chris Cox new TCC:XvT.


- EH Census (AD Darknyte)
The EH Census is finally ready for the Fleet to take part in. If
you've kept up with my reports you know that I feel this will be a
great tool for those of us in leadership roles in the EH to more
accurately gauge what the membership would like to get out of their
experience in the club.

All members of the EH are encouraged to participate and asked to
please answer all questions with honesty. There are a few regarding
thoughts on senior officers, and we assure you that your private
information will never be made public, so you may answer without
fear of reproach.
