Fleet News:


· There are a few fleet-wide comps running at the moment:
· TAC office banner design—IS-GR through IS-BR for the winners. Entries due 1 Feb.
· TAC office is also attempting to find an "anthem". IS GR-through IS-BR for the winners. Entries also due 1 Feb.
· XO Astatine is running a "Crazy IWATS Christmas Clearance" comp through 14 January. If you haven’t taken many IWATS courses in the past, this is your chance to earn a nice shiny medal for taking lots of them. Details are available at http://www.emperorshammer.net/iwats/xmas.htm On a related note, if you take the TIE Mission design course, I can guarantee a quick turnaround in grading it.

· The positions of Logistics Officer and Training Officer are still open for applications. See the Emperor’s Hammer News page for details.
· Good seats still available in the TAC office for TIE and XWA testers, as well.

· The Sovereign Battles of the Month for December results out soon *cough*: January battles have been announced:
· TIE-TC 194 (Terrorist Attack)
· XvT-TC 40 (Leaders of the New Republic)
· XWA-TC 32 (Rebel Resurgence)

Pilot files are due to AD Proton and LC Todbringer (todbringer@poczta.onet.pl) by midnight, 30 Jan. Remember to cc me as well.

· LC Frodo will be the task force Admiral for the Good Guys in the Sov mega-comp Operation Outrageous Fortune. LC Jon Doyle will lead the Bad Guys. The comp starts 19 January, so get ready to 0wn across multiple games.
· On a related note, if you’ve got graphics skills, AD Proton is looking for a volunteer to make a graphic for the above comp.

Wing News:

Congrats to this round’s recipients of the Commendation of Loyalty—COL Ricardo, LC Philo, and LCM Szu. Also to our very own LT Halc for his work in the Dark Brotherhood. Yay us!

The Wing Academy has been unveiled. See the Wing report for more details. Yod has no instructor yet, so if you’re interested, contact Wolvie and me.

Wing IV vs Wing X comp results: I guess we win, by superior competence in record-keeping if nothing else. Look for other comps to follow soon.

Squadron News/Orders:

News:

· No response from Sword about an XWA comp, but Demon Squadron is looking for a Wing IV squad to challenge. Now I’m waiting for their response… I specifically requested an easy mission or battle this time, so I’ll expect everyone present and able to fly XWA to do so.
· Internal squadron comps discussion—the upshot seems to be that we’d rather beat on other people than each other. Even so, I’m working on a new scheme to give squadron members more opportunities for medals. I’ll let you know when and if it gets approved.
· Squadron patches—anyone who thinks the can do better than MAJ David, or wants to lighten his workload a bit, submit a squadron patch soon. Otherwise, I quite like the style of the Lamed patch, and think we should go with that.
· I’ll be appointing a Flight Leader for Flight 3 soon—anyone interested in the position, or who has a recommendation for another pilot, is encouraged to email me.
