Commander's Thoughts
. It was a slow week for us this week with the holidays approaching fast. All will be excused for the following week for the holidays so enjoy yourselves and have a fun and safe time. We are down to 10 members so lets see if we can recruit on or two more to fill up those holes.  Well we will keep this one short and I shall look for everybodys strong return in January so be prepared all of you to get busy. Go Hornet!!!

XO's CORNER

Squadron News:
-I will be on leave starting tomorrow and will not return until friday so my XO Jer Stryker will have the helm and I want everybody to direct all concerns and general problems to his attention. He needs to know all about commandering and it wouldnt be commandering without problems. Anyway Ill pop in occasionally to put in the battles and stuff like that. He will also be doing next weeks WSR so I name the acting XO for the week and it shall be LCM Grimlock. Grimlock has done extremely well over the last few weeks with steady acitvity so good luck to both of you, youre gonna need it.
-We now have 21citations which is great increase for the week although we had to lose two pilots to attain it so lets get out there and fly fly fly so we can gain more.  --Our  XO Jer Stryker will be issuing assignments in the next week or so to get us more citations as fast as possible so do everything you can to do what he gives ya.
-The new Hornet messageboard is up and running and I have yet to see very many of our people posting to it so go check it out and lets hear you.  There is currently a poll there to find out what kind of comps you guys want since not many of you responded to my email so take a minute and go post today.
-LT Noah Qarni has been officially AWOL'd due to lack of activity.  He was an excellent member and will be sorely missed but maybe he will be back with us one day. 

Wing/Ship News:
-COM Sickman is still working on getting us X in the Vanguard IRC channell and hopefully he will get it soon, so until then we have Madflame babysitting us.
- Several competitions hosted by Sickman are running.  Please try and participate so you can earn some good medals. Details on the Wing XV mb.
-Mantis Squadron is open for applicatons...Send your apps to Tarkin and cc Sickman and Darksaber.

Battlegroup News:
-We all know we have a new BGCOM and he is Darksaber.  He is doing his best to restore the ASF to the way it should be so lets give him all we have and do our part.
-Rumor of the next Supremecy Competition is coming soon...Lets all prep the ships and be prepared to make the Vanguard the flag ship this time.
