- SQUADRON NEWS -
  • Welcome to the first Diamondback squadron report of 2003! I hope you all had an ass kicking Year's Eve Party because now it's time to show them all that Diamondback is the best darned squadron in ASF!
  • ASF Supremacy Competition V has started. Needless to say that this will be our most important competition during the next months. Almost any kind of activity counts! You can fly SP battles, fly MP melees, submit GFX or fiction, create custom battles etc... There're 12 categories and for each category will be awarded 3 Imperial Stars (with Ribbons or Wings depending on the category). This means there's a total of 36 possible medals to win!   • I'm glad to see that almost everyone has already put great efforts in the SC. We had lot of IWATS courses passed this week. CPT Szydlowski passed ASP and XTM/2, MAJ Michael and LCM Chris passed XTM/2, LCM Hubert passed XTM/1 and XTM/2. Well done guys, now those of you that completed XTMs can start releasing kick-ass custom missions ;-)
  • CM Arti will be on leave during the whole month of January due to heavy work load. Good luck for you real life and come back soon!
  • I've noticed that we haven't used our squadron messageboard in a while. I'm the first to say that quality of a Squadron isn't measured by messageboard activity but I also think that a inactive forum don't give a good impression to other TC members. For this reason I decide to improve the MB activity and I'll start posting my reports as well as polls, news and funny stories there. Keep an eye on it and feel free to post as more as you want.
  • Geez...I've been promoted to LC even if I specifically asked Darksaber to never allow me to get LC. Looks like I'll have to double my efforts in order to get a COL badge as soon as possible! BTW...drinks are on me, yay :-)

  • New XvT Patches: B-Wing and TIE Vanguard

     Thanks to my CA, AD Darkhill, I've been able to release two new patches for X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: the TIE Vanguard and the B-Wing. Both come with additional Flight group colours for the EH, ASF and respectively the DB for the TIE Vanguard and the IW for the B-Wing. The T/D and MIS patches have also been updated lately and now work together with eachother and the B-W and T/V. Give them all a run once :)

Week of War is an "Open" event where clubs from all over the XWA Community participate in a week long, fly till you drop event. Score keeping is handled by the database and provides real time stats in a vast array of categories.

Important rules changes/addons:
Players need to play 2 games or more, for it to count towards club rankings
Read the rules, their are some major changes in 5.2 and 8.4
