Viper Squadron's Report #7, 12/20/02
CMDR's Thoughts
Have all of you bought Christmas Presents yet? If not you should hurry! This Report is the last before Christmas and first of all I wanna wish you all many presents, good food and some nice days to relax =) .I will visit my family for Christmas and will be on leave from 12/24 to 12/27(including both days). I might be back friday evening or saturday noon, I'm not sure yet, so my report might come a little late.
Activity was low the last week, but with several finals and semi-leaves that was foreseeable(this word looks weird to me, but my online dictionary tells me it exists).
A little change to our roster has happened, LCM Tatsu left Flight 1 to take over the Flight Leader position of our 3rd Flight. Congrats Tatsu =).
I started coding the new Viper page this week, but it's going very slow, but it's a start. Coz nobody wanted to be our Citation Officer I will take this position untill any of you want to take it. When the Homepage is up it will contain a Citation Board where you can look what battles you should fly and I will tell you what I think which battles you should fly.
Our Commodore Wil Striker has been unhappy about some people who wanted to transfer and did it the wrong way. If you don't like where you are, or want to join another squadron, or if any nonViper asked you how to transfer to another squadron, here is the way you should go:
1. The pilot will notify his/her present CMDR/WC/COM of their intention fo transfer to another Squadron/Wing/Ship. The pilot will state the reason(s) for the transfer, and where they wish to be transferred.
2. The pilot will await a response from his/her CMDR/WC/COM concerning the transfer. If any questions are asked about the reason(s) for the transfer then the pilot must respond immediately with the required information.
3. Once the CMDR/WC/COM are satisfied that the transfer is within the regulations and there are not outstanding issues with the impending transfer, then the CMDR/WC will notify the new CMDR/WC/COM of the pilots desire to transfer.
4. Once the new CMDR/WC/COM have responded and agreed to the transfer the current CMDR will then forward the transfer request to the FO for final authorization.
5. The transfer request to the FO must include the original pilots request, any additional comments from the current CMDR/WC, and the approval of the incoming CMDR/WC/COM.
In my opinion this topic is not important in this squad ;) but getting a reminder to some rules is a good thing anyway.
Some things I want from you:
1st we need a squadron patch, so if anyone wants to make one, notify me.
2nd I could need any grafics for the new ViperHome Page.
3rd (IMPORTANT) If you send me your pilotfiles I want them to look like 'gistXVTtc#15' or '8622xvtTC#15'. I know that you have to rename the XWA pilotfiles coz they come with predefined names, but if you don't do it, I have to do it or if I'm too lazy aswell our new Tactical Officer Marcin Szydlowski has to rename your files. You can imagine that it can be really annoying if you have to rename pilotfiles from several hundred of pilots...so please rename the files in the appropriated way, thanks.
In this report I will add a new section under the CMDR's Thoughts to put the current competition ratings of all Vipers.

I know that several MP matches are missing, but I will count only these matches, who are in your combat record. Due to the fact that I have to send my BSF on the 1st/2nd of each month there might be some LoC's missing. I think it's best when we take the nonawarded LoC's and matches into the next month, otherwise the medals might come very late. If you don't agree with me in this point(or if you do) please send me your thoughts.
