Commander's Thoughts
. It was another slow week for us this week with the exception of a few highlight reels I will mention below. I trust everyone had a joyous holiday season and do wish all of our boys a very happy new year. I really want to see Hornet pump itself backup coming January 1 and lets start the year off with a bang. I will have more competitions coming very soon around the 1st so get ready for that.   We are up to 11 members so lets see if we can recruit one more to fill up the roster and make it back full.  Go Hornet!!!

XO's CORNER
"The XO is on leave this week again.  The commander personally thinks he gets way to much vacation and will have to do some checking on this and check into stapling him in his cockpit for the month of January.

Squadron News:
-First I would like to congratulate LT Damon Spears on winning our 10 Battle comp. He accomplished this with ease amassing all 10 battles in two days. I look foward to seeing more of your capabilities LT. You keep this up and you might have my job.
-We now have 14 citations which is great increase for the week. And for all the newer guys in the squad, we gain a citation for just about every battle you fly and I would love to see us break twenty again by next week so lets all fly a battle or two. Our  XO Jer Stryker will be issuing assignments in the next week or so to get us more citations as fast as possible so do everything you can to do what he gives ya.
-The new Hornet messageboard is up and running and I have yet to see very many of our people posting to it so go check it out and lets hear you.  There is currently a poll there to find out what kind of comps you guys want since not many of you responded to my email so take a minute and go post today.
 

Wing/Ship News:
-COM Sickman is still working on getting us X in the Vanguard IRC channell and hopefully he will get it soon, so until then we have Madflame babysitting us.
- Several competitions hosted by Sickman are over.  Congratulations to all winners.
-Mantis Squadron is once again under the command of a fine officer and a good friend, Captain Erryc Lasitter. We look foward to the continued strength of Mantis that was began by Major Jensen.
-The Vanguard is at 60 total pilots!!! Great work to all those who have contributed by way of recruiting, now lets press on to fill this puppy up all the way to 72.

Battlegroup News:
-We all know we have a new BGCOM and he is Darksaber.  He is doing his best to restore the ASF to the way it should be so lets give him all we have and do our part.
