MAJ Drake Jensen reporting in for Mantis Squadron on 12.12.02
Commander's Corner:
It is with a great amount of thought and deliberation that I announce my resignation from command of Mantis. Over the past six months I have been proud to serve with the finest group of pilots I have ever seen. But now I feel it is time for me to move on and let someone else carry Mantis forward to even more glory. I had every intention of recommending LCM Krayt as my replacement but with his pending wedding and the fact that he will be moving after the first of the year, he asked not to be considered at this time. So I would like to take this opportunity to recommend a pilot that I know is an excellent leader and would do great things with Mantis. CPT Erryc Lassiter has my full recommendation to take my place as commanding officer of Mantis. He has proven himself in the past and I know that with Erryc at the helm, Mantis will remain at the top of the Van. In closing, let me say that you are the finest group of men I have seen or served with in my time with the Tie Corps. You have all made me very proud to say that you were my men and more importantly, my friends. AY! DO MANI!!!
