Vampire Squadron, December 14th 2002
Squadron
News:
Pretty good showing from Vampire on the
ECR's. Three pilots flew, one doesn't have XWA(yet), and one is
MIA(unfortunately). Although I don't think our WC and COM are happy with the
overall turnout. Other than that, just a regular week here in Vampire. I still
need avatars and personal info that you guys want on the Vampire page from:
Ardan, and Mosh.

The mailer system is back up again! YAY!
Now KK can get me my backlogged LoC's and DFC's >:-)
CPT Bobxavi was promoted to Major, and
due to RL constraints, has stepped down from Falcon Commander. CPT Gutt is his
replacement(/me shudders). Anyways, congrats to both of you, one on the
promotion, and the other on the position. Also, CPT Brat Stone was promoted to
Major, and also due to RL stuff, has been forced to step down from Demon
Commander. Congratulations on your promotion, and we hope both you and Bobxavi
stay on the Immortal, because you're both excellent pilots, and we'd hate to
lose you.

Report:
-An idea has been raised about a new
type of comp based on one that is currently underway in the Dark Brotherhood.
Basically, a murder mystery would be written and then sent to the squadrons. By
the end of the week, each squadron would have to figure out the murderer. If you
think that you would like to participate in something like this, email me and
MAJ Auto so we can figure out how many players we would have. I'm interested in
trying this. Let me know what you think, Vampires :)
-We need more recruits. To this effect, I am offering a bounty of an ISM on any NEW recruit you get onto the Immortal. They will have to transfer from the Reserves, or from the Daedalus Platform. (DO NOT SPAM DAEDALUS!) I would suggest hanging out in the Zone in the XWA and XvT rooms....
And last but not least, the scuttlebut is that someone took luminescent green paint, and put a peace symbol on our WC's Tie Guardian. When Auto was asked how he felt about this, he merely growled. So, whoever is responsible..watch your six :P

Status/Orders:
Vampire vs. Aleth is running until
Saturday, the 21st of Dec. Missions are: XWAF-74, TIEF-164, and
XvTF-10. High scorer of each platform will receive an
IS-BW. Whichever squadron gets the best average score on two of
the three platforms, wins the competition. I'm STILL waiting
for approval on this. But we're gonna run this comp anyway. I've submitted it
for approval now three different times. So far, i've only got a submission from
Mosh. Let's win this one, people.
Auto's Weekly Readiness Test: Fly
XWA-TC 26, or XvT-DB 2 This isn't mandatory, but it
flying one battle a week keeps activity up, and also helps your FCHG. Also looks
good for the monthly FCHG Race :)

comp running through the end of the month: Let's get flyin!

Auto has started a FCHG Race competition for the month of
December. There is one small catch however. Only battles that
are flown will be counted, not Free Missions. So, everyone get started and flood
your Cmdr's inbox with .plt files!
-The Top Gun
competition will be continued this month. Basically, the pilot
that wins the most MP matches will recieve an IS-SW. The
runner-up will recieve an IS-BW. Also, you don't have to wait until
official EH comps for this. You can set up your own quick skirmishes while on
IRC and I will count those as well, as long as you send me the results of the
win. Also, because the mailer system is down, IF YOU WON ANY EH SPONSORD MP
MATCHES, EMAIL ME SO I CAN ADD THEM TO THE RECORD. I didn't get confirmation of
any this month, but I know that many of you flew. If any of you are interested
in flying MP against me, just find me on irc, and we'll set up a couple of
matches. I can currently fly XWA and XvT MP. (And i'll also remember to ask if
JK2 involved in this: /me chuckles at the look on Auto's face as he reads that
part)
