Commander's Thoughts
We havent had much happening this week as the site is has recently returned so lets get out there and fly fly fly. I have spent the majority of my time lately recruiting but im returning to active flying duty this week so I want you guys to give me a run for my money. Long Live Hornet!!!

XO's CORNER
Greetings pilots. It's a pleasure to once again serve Hornet as our Executive Officer. First of all I want you all to know that if you need anything I am online most evenings on MSN Messenger and on AOL instant messenger. My screen names are jmlouden@hotmail.com and jmlouden1 respectively. I can also be found in #isdvanguard on occasion. Feel free to contact me if you need anything or just want to chat, especially those of you who I haven't met yet.
One of my duties as XO is to assign battles to each of you on a weekly basis for the purpose of getting us as many citations as we can as quickly as possible. I have a system that I developed called JATO which I hope to have set up for our new roster by next Thursday, and starting then I will have individual assignments for each of you that will be included in Drax's Weekly Squadron Reports and posted on the Hornet website. I have a HUGE job interview next Tuesday so they may not be ready by Thursday, but I will do my best.

Squadron News:
-Welcome our newest member, LT Cassander Dimentex who is returning to active duty from the reserves. Give him a warm Hornet welcome!!
-Congratulations to Draco Caanis on his promotion to LT!!!
-We now have 4 citations which is awesome guys!!! Our beloved XO Jer Stryker will be issuing assignments in the next week or so to get us more citations as fast as possible so do everything you can to do what he gives ya.
-The new Hornet messageboard is up and running and I have yet to see very many of our people posting to it so go check it out and lets hear you.
-I have some competitions compending approval but if you have any ideas for some new competitions send me your ideas and we will see what we can do.
- Also consider this my third week of AWOL check. Those of you listed with no activity this is the last week for you to show up in some form or another or you will be getting the boot. So please contact me asap!!

Wing/Ship News:
-COM Sickman is still working on getting us X in the Vanguard IRC channell and hopefully he will get it soon.
- Several competitions hosted by Sickman are running. Please try and participate so you can earn some good medals. Here they are:

1)Your new COM need a new type of ship and a new name for her that best suits his lifestyle, so think up a new ship and name, best one chosen will win a IS-SR

2) Design a new Banner/Graphic to be placed at http://www.emperorshammer.net/rosters/view.asp?ship=9 This has to be really cool

3)SickMan's Assistants:
Skiny - A senile old story telling protocol droid.
Iggy - A salacious Crumb with a loving of heavy metal
Colin - a bad tempered foul mouthed little astro droid (don't read his translation read out if easily offended)
Kyra - a HRD, stunning looks and great with a flamethrower..........a deadly assassin who loves her work serving SickMan.
What do they look like? design a graphic of one of them or write a story about one or all of them, best submission will win a IS-SR, 2nd best wins a IS-BR.

So there you go, 3 non-flying comps, we have forthcoming flying comps with WingXIII and the SOV, so have your flying gear ready:)

-We all know we have a new BGCOM and he is Darksaber. He is doing his best to restore the ASF to the way it should be so lets give him all we have and do our part.
