Squadron News

- Week 2 of Kappa vs. Sin is over, and we we did well again. :)
Sin fought gallantly with Carl having 104K and John 107K, but low
participation pretty much destroyed their effort. :|
Sin ended up with an averaged score of 52846, while Kappa had 91328.
With that, Kappa is now in the lead with 142657 to 73640 points.
Good work, everyone!
Also congrats to Roasty who set a new HS in this mission.
Next mission is FREE-TIE 67, Mat #1 (attached).

- As a reaction to his superb activity during the last weeks, and to
Stele's wish to have the spot filled (*g*), Astarosta will be the
new Flight Leader for Flight II. To get himself some subordinates
(so he has somebody to command around apart from himself :P), he was
also appointed the new CAO (Cadet Assistance Officer).
In order to keep Kappa a a place of opportunity, though, Roasty
already offered to step down from the FL position again in case some
young blood should claim it... thanks for that, Roasty. :)
You'll all know it isn't meant against Astarosta when I hope that to
happen soon. Although Kappa is a truly great squadron despite of its
actual size, it gets me thinking that currently only "old farts" are
in it, and the Deadalus roster doesn't show many Alpha cadets who
actually finish at least their flight training. What do you think:
Is the TF-part of the TC in a crisis? (Yeah, discussion round :P)

- In the Sov news of this week, Proton mentioned an upcoming
uber-comp, so prepare for flying.

- The database mailer is back and those of you who submitted TFRs
recently should have gotten those notifications again.

- CPT John Doe of Sin Squadron transferred to the reserves. I know, no
squadron news for us, but still very sad, as John is a real Wing II
veteran and a good friend, and he'll be badly missed. :(

- For the new webpage I'm working on, I intended to use the EH banner
exchange and noticed that it's pretty empty in there, especially
regarding squadron banners. Therefore, and also because the banners
we have on the Kappa site are kinda out of date, I've created a new
one (attached). Please let me all know what you think and Algy, it
would be nice if you could put it to the others on the Kappa HP.
