Viper Squadron's Report #1, 11/11/02




CMDR's Thoughts
Gistenjunge sat in his new chair, in front of his new desk in his new office. Lost in thought he watched all those blinking icons which where projected in front of him, telling him the status of his pilots and the ships.He shivered 'No cloaking device?!' he thought 'no backstabbing...but quadlasers, thats fine'. He smiled.
Some weeks ago he and his Flight his main task was frightening the enemies, let them fear the wrath of the Emperor's Hammer. Now starts the bodycount, Strike Squadron...poor rebels.

I write this report to an 'unusual' time, because some things don't wanna wait till friday. In the future I will send a weekly report every friday(at least I'll try to).



TC/ASF News

rumors said our beloved COM is missing his lightsabre. Its painted in matt black and the inignia WS are anywhere on the shaft. If you find it please bring it to the COM's Office immediately. You don't wanna see him angry, do ya?

Miscellaneous
I looked over the Squadron and Flight Pages and am happy that we have so much of them. I managed the Asp Site and I know that it cost some time and I appreciate that. One thing I noticed was that the link to our MB is obsolete. It's linking to an old MB. Please update that to http://www.ehnet.org/mb/viewforum.php?f=88 .

I'd like to have some additional positions in Viper, like Citation Officer, XO, Communication Officer, Doctor etc. If you are interested just drop me a line. Only Flight Leader can become XO, the rest is open for all pilots and I would appreciate if Flight Members would also apply. If you have any ideas which position this squad needs, post it on our MB or email me.

the Viper Top Ace Competition will start in december. I haven't decided yet how I will do the MP scoring and I would like to hear your opinion.
That's how it would be:
During a month I will assign two battles(one at the beginning of the month, on in the middle of the month) which should be flown. Each pilot who submits the battle will get #missions-of-the-battle divided by 2(round up points, the one with the highest score will get #missions-of-the-battle points. If you get a battle-highscore you will get #missions multiplied with 1.5(rounded up) points. That was the SP section.
I have two proposals how to count MP points.(all MP matches will count, #ehcoc, WoW, ORW2 or whatever)
1. each match counts 1point, each win(LoC) counts 2points, each DFC counts5 points
2. if you have a CR rank of 50 or below, each won match gives you one point, a DFC is worth 4 points, CRrank from 51-100 for every two won matches you get one point, every DFC is worth 3 points, CR rank from 101-150 for every 3wins you get one point, a DFC is worth 2 points, CRrank above 151 will need 4won matches for a point and a DFC is worth 1point.
All scoring rounded up.

Good news, I bought XvT today, that sounds easy, but it was a hard task, coz offically they don't sell it anymore(in germany). I drove to the next big city and in the 4th store I got the LAST!! YEEEHAAW
