Tempest Squadron Weekly Report #13 – 06th of May 2005


***~Introductory Note~***

This has been a great week, promotions and medals all around.....congratulations to all of those who were awarded, it’s well deserved. Don’t forget people, the more active you are, the more awarded you will be....except for Prost, who we like to award just for the fun of it.....

I am pleased to announce that, effective immediately, I will be tutoring Tempest Pilots in Tie Fighter Tactics (this has nothing to do with the IWATS TT course....which you all should definitely take). This is a good thing to everyone, because you can all learn something useful, and I can fly while helping you out....of course, I’ll like you a lot better if you pick a mission I have not flown yet :) Here’s what we’ll do: as I told Mike earlier today, anyone of you can just choose a Tie Free Mission you want to fly....and then fly it, write down a little paragraph on what you did in the mission, hand me the tfr, which I’ll BSF....then, I’ll check your score, and fly it myself to compare the scores....If your score is lower than mine, we’ll go over the tactics you used to fly (if its higher you are good to go)..... The objective of this is that the people who want to learn a little tactics to get higher scores do so, so there won’t be any competition medals whatsoever.....but high activity may always get you something at the beginning of the next month

* I’ve been Promoted to the rank of Major......YEEEEEEEYYY.....yes, yes, all the rumors are true.....huge party at the cantina.....

* Tempest Top Gun has ended.....you can all check out the scores at the Tempest website....Congrats to Rover for winning the Tempest Top Gun title, and also to Impulse, who came in second for just a little bit

* Tempest Recruiting Comp
It has ended.....without a single new recruit.....I PLAGUE YA, AND ALL YOUR HOUSES!!!!! Just kidding....I know recruiting can be tricky. For those of you, who were trying to recruit, keep on going, because you’ll definitely will be rewarded for bringing people in the Squadron...

* Squadron Standing Orders: every week i want you to do one of the following:
- Fly something from the Mission Compendium
- Take an IWATS Course
- Write some fiction
- Create a graphic
- Submit something for the Squadron Report (Fiction, graphics, garbage, etc)

* Recruitment
Well, this is back on track now.....
If you haven't noticed Tempest is in desperate need of pilots, get out there and ask your friends, your relatives, parents, grandmothers, dogs, I don't care, lets just get some people in here.
I am offering an ISM per recruit (Cadet and RSV's alike) and a PC per 5 recruits, so there’s a chance for you to get lots of medals and to help not only the squad but also the wing.

* Don’t forget about Wing X’s Sunday meetings, at #wing_x, at 06:00pm EST (GMT -5:00). Trivia is going on, show up if you can!!!

* Apparently, the Agressor Strike Force has declined the Battlegroups invitation to kick their butts...too bad.....But Locke wants to move on the entire Avenger Battlegroup.......we’ll be ready for them....GO LOCKE!!!!

* There were like, a billion missions flown last month.....congrats to all of the flyers on making the Challenge the most active ship in the fleet.
