Airyu: In honor of the Red Sox trading Nomar Garciaparra, I am prepared to match the entire sport of baseball against quite possibly the most dangerous spectator sport in the known universe. Here to help call the match is our newest pilot, and my good friend, MAJ Yutzka Serovich!
Serovich: Hey there, Airyu. What's first up for our players?
Airyu: Well, I'll see how some of our pilots deal with a standard play. Pitching now is Pedro Martinez... and at the bat is our own LT Ginji! Here's the first pitch, and...
Ginji: Aaaaah! *tries to dodge, but is hit in the head* Ow... *thud*

Airyu: Who the crap invited him in!?!? De Grooz! Weren't you supposed to be guarding the door?
*crickets chirp in the background*

Serovich: *hits CATS in the head with a Norse Stickball stick* PWN3D!!! Now, on to the other side of the coin.
Airyu: On the pitcher's mound is CM Paco. He pitched for the IWATS intramural team, let's see how he fares against Manny Ramirez of the Red Sox. I've invited the rest of the squad to help field... let's hear some chatter out there, boys!

Newsfeed from AD Khadgar: In a poorly thought-out publicity stunt aboard the Vanguard, Major Daisuke Airyu held a baseball game against some of the best professional players of the modern day. During the course of the game, a stray baseball punctured the safety forcefield surrounding the Vanguard's athletic arena, and caused a significant rupture in the hull. Several decks have been cordoned off, deemed unsafe by Imperial engineers. All responsible parties have been apprehended and imprisoned in the Vanguard's secondary brig, as the primary brig was condemned. We take you to the secondary brig for the conclusion of this week's match.

Ginji: I thought this was supposed to be the secondary brig!
Airyu: Come on, man, you know we can't afford two brigs on our budget!
Serovich: *shivering* Yeah... but... why did they have to throw us in the meat locker!?!
Airyu: Just... shut up... and... I think if we hit the door with a Norse stick, it'll break down!
Ginji: *gnawing on a frozen side of bantha* mm!! this is good!!!
Airyu: *takes a bite and chews* mmf, right! I guess we'll have to *chomp* call it a draw!!
MORAL: When playing in a climate controlled arena, watch your powerhitters. And stay away from the frozen bantha, it fights back.

COLOSSAL CHANGES - MAJ Angel has replaced MAJ Curtis as Wing Commander. Or did MAJ Curtis replace MAJ Angel? Ohhh, MAJ Faceless Minion is the new WC! Really, congrats to Angel. Or Curtis. Whatever :p
KHADGAR ON VACATION - The BGCOM has gone on vacation for a week or so. Expect his DOCs to convince him to un-vacation at any minute. Until then, direct all BGCOM-ish questions to VA Gilead Pelleaeon. BGCOM-ish questions include "Why does that pellayon guy have so many vowels in his name?", or "Does anybody really ask you questions?"
BUBBAX RESIGNS - VA BubbaX, the fleet's most notorious spammer, has resigned his post as COM of the Relentless. He is now in Viper Squadron on the Intrepid, because it's easier to spam the MBs from there. Some of the most promising spammers have roots in the Snake Pit... Frodo, Justin, and myself... :P

CPT KRAYT RESIGNS - Being named after a squadron, and commanding Mantis was a little too much for our friend. Wish him luck in his endeavors. This also leaves Mantis CMDR open for applications, in addition to its two FL positions.
TOP DOG IS ON - We're out to an early lead in the competition, thanks to a little too much vigilance on my part. It really isn't hard at all to get some points, just go and fly or take IWATS courses, there's plenty of easy ones.
