Aurora Standard Date - May, 7th, 2004 - Report #9

First of all, my apologies for sending this report too late. For university, I had to go on an unforseen
trip with no access to e-mail nor internet. I see good activity from some and no activity from others.
If we want to make this squadron really succesful, I need help from ALL of you! The FCHG race runs
the entire month and you get a medal for JUST sending in at least ONE mission! So, get that medal :) !!!

Squadron News:

• LT Todar is on Leave until next monday/tuesday.
  
• Currently we are in second place of the FCHG race. Fly if you can!
  
• LT Apex Cure was awarded a Commendation of Bravery. Good work!

• WC Kane Reese has returned from his Leave of Absence.

Tie Corps News:

• Omega Commander Promoted to General

  From AD Proton: I recommend that Omega Squadron CMDR/COL Bryan be promoted to the rank of General.
  Colonel Brian has been a consistently active force driving Omega forward since he became CMDR of the elite
  squadron more than five months ago. Omega once again is tearing up the Sovereign Squadron League, and
  Brian himself is flying as hard or harder than ever, leading by example. Brian is also a valuable contributor to
  Sovereign flag officers' discussion on important issues. GN Brian's contributions to Omega and he fleet have
  been an example to all pilots and I concur with AD Proton that the promotion is warranted. Congratz GN!
  
  
• Multiplayer Competitions

  As you may have noticed from the Combat Calendar, there are some new weekly competition times for this
  week. Night of the Monks will take place Fridays from 3 AM - 6 AM EST, hosted by LC Pickled Yoda.
  The Wolf's Howl will be on Saturdays and Aggressor Night on Sundays. Both will be at 8 PM - 11 PM EST,
  and will normally be hosted by VA Khadgar. You're welcome to use any COO authorized platforms at each
  of these competitions (XvT, XWA, etc.). They will all be held in #EHCOC on IRC. Khadgar will be unable to
  host the Saturday and Sunday competitions this week, so if you’re able to host, please contact the
  Combat Operations Office.

Some ideas:
- Design a new banner for our squadron (we have a new motto & nickname after all).
- Submit competition ideas for Avenger Choice Competition 2 (Make sure to CC me).
- Submit for ATF Trivia.
- Do IWATS.
- Play 3D Pong Blowout (see competitions section of this report).
- Start some kind of self-created competition for Fury (Heavy rewards!).
