From the Commander's Office

As stated in my squadron address, one of you will be saying 'goodbye' sometime next week. Supremacy Comp VI requires active pilots, and the way our squad's citations work is that we need to ditch a person. Now, I would have to do that if you all were active, but alas, that is not the case. Basically if you've been on mIRC, or even e-mailed me, you won't get the boot. Hey! That's just like one person! Cya!

I will have battle assignments for the rest of you pilots about a week before February. Better get your joysticks warmed up. I'm serious (for once).

Vlad's Easter Egg Hunt II is now underway. Details for the competition can be found here. There are some major changes from the first Egg Hunt, so be sure to read the instructions carefully. The Hunt for the IS-GR continues as Gilad leads the (Wolf)pack by winning last week's hunt.

Commander Caine has started a low-score FREE competition for the wing. Ask him for details on which FREEs will be flown, and other stuff.

Wolfpack News

As of 9:14 PM (CST) there is still no Vortex Commander. I know at least three pilots from this ship applied, and I have a fairly good idea who it'll be. However, since I won't say who it is, you'll have to read next week's WSR for those of you who only read this awesome piece of literature.

I think Choosh got promoted to Lieutenant Colonel this past week ... I didn't see it in last week's report, so it must have happened this week. Big congrats are to go out to him, since yet another High Monk of the GWSOoM gets a promotion. Watch out, Gilad!

Fleet News

Couple of Command positions are open. Admiral Darknyte got fired, and so the position of Logistics Officer is open. Since Darknyte is a cry baby, he stole Alex Foley's (OPS) password and awarded himself 800+ Legion of Combats. Smashing. He'll be banned no doubt. Since Foley's account is locked up, there will be no medals awarded (or uniforms approved, probably) until he gets access back.

Fleet Admiral Nightflyer has resigned as Grand Moff of the Directorate, so if you want to lead one of the numerous EH subgroups that are falling apart ... go ahead. I had actually written up an application for the position (I had some damn fine ideas for it), but decided against applying since I realized I had no such time to run an entire subgroup. Props to you if you turn the subgroup around.

Admiral Turtle Jerrar is the new Communications Officer of the Fleet. He's a very dedicated officer, so I'm sure this aspect of the EH will turn around nicely. I belive this marks what? The sixth Command position Rear Admiral BubbaX has not gotten? Keep trying Bubby ...

Go take the new IWATS courses: Multiplayer (MP) and Tactical Staff (TACS). I reccomend you wait until SC:VI starts so you don't waste important points, however. Multiplayer is easier than apple pie ... if you don't score a 100% I'll demote you (seriously). And well, Tactical Staff is interesting ... very interesting. If you're not Polish, a known member of the GWSOoM, or have ever raised an opinion against Mike, expect at least a 15% grade drop on that exam.

Just a reminder that multi-player comps are held in Undernet channel #ehcoc. So go fly and boost your Combat Rating. There is talk of a CR badge for your uniform, so you want one of those ... right? Anyway, XvT Week of War starts up in like 3 weeks, so get ready for that.

Remember people, as I have mentioned before: This is a multi-player ship and battlegroup. While flying multi-player is not mandatory (and I certainly won't make you do it), that is what we're here for. Plus, it's far more fun than single-player, especially when we have 2v2s and 3v3s. Trust me, it's a blast.

Squadron Citations Corner

Crusader Squadron currently has a whopping 17 citations. This slight increase is due to Commander Caine joining up, which is cool. More citations to come no doubt.
