Aurora Standard Date - June, 11th, 2004 - Report #14

After some duels with my Internet Service Provider and my yearly dose of exams, life is looking
more bright. And not only for me, but also for our squadron, since it's promotion time!!!

Squadron News:

• Hunter squadron won the COM's Worst Nightmare: Fury vs. Hunter competition. Medals for
  all participants are on the way!
  
• Missing database information is being added. I have all data on stuff after the second week
  of March 2004, when I became CMDR. Please look at your profile! Bring missing things to my
  attention! Such as: medals, IWATS Courses, created missions, FCHG and MP matches a.s.f.
  
• Two Fury members promoted, go to the Promotion section of this report ;).
  
• Fury website has been updated.

Wing/BG News:

• The New ISD Subjugator Commodore is RA TK-7764. I hope you like the new chair ;).
  
• Wing XX has a new Wing Commander: MAJ Archangel. Congratulations, Arch!

Tie Corps News:

• The Tie Corps site is available on: http://www.ehtiecorps.org/news.asp
  This new site is fully functional.

• [Reminder] The EHSPs back up all important game files.

  The Emperor's Hammer Ship Patches for TIE, XvT and BoP make a full backup of all important files in those
  games upon installation. This means that you can use it to restore your game installation might you have screwed
  that up in some way:

  After you've newly installed TIE, XvT or BoP and installed any needed update patches (like 1.14 for XvT) install EHSP
  into a permanent folder ([Game folder]/EHPatch for example.) and keep it installed. To restore your fresh install of the
  game: uninstall EHSP, reinstall it, and its all fine again... which saves you having to reinstall the game from CD again.

Promotions and transfers:

• Todar: For actively participating in all competitions he can find, being a model officer and
  having a solid IRC presence and real dedication to the squadron, LT Todar is promoted to the
  rank of Lieutenant Commander. Thoroughly deserved, keep up the good work!
  
• Hunterr: For designing two missions, which are currently being redone (they were in German) and
  being in contact with your commander, and active use of e-mail and message boards, SL Hunterr
  is promoted to Lieutenant. Congratulations!

Activity:

Slow week, unfortunately. Due to my exams, I am also to blame for this. Fortunately, we have a number
of new competitions from our new BGCOM, including a new ATF Trivia and BJ: June edition. I hope
everyone likes to show that he deserves his old or current rank ;). So give me something to do, because
there are many possibilities: flying, IWATS (yes, why not?), write or draw for BJ, devising something for
the squadron, IRC, writing on the MB. Just remember to keep me informed!
