- We have a new website now, hornet.squadron.org. However, there seem to be some problems with that URL...sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I'm currently looking into it. In the mean time, you can use and bookmark the real URL, http://www.minos.net/~jerstryker/squadpage. Be sure to check out the website...it has just about everything you need on it, and I'll be adding some cool stuff in the weeks and months to come!
- I still haven't heard from some of you...please take just 15 seconds and email or IM your new commander to let me know you're alive, busy with RL, flying your butt off, whatever. My contact info, as always, is listed at the very very end of the WSR.
- Next week I'm going to start naming a "Pilot of the Week" again. The pilot who flies the most will get the honors. Next month I intend to have a competition in place where whoever wins "Pilot of the Week" the most will be named "Pilot of the Month" and receive a medal for it. Stay tuned.
- Also I used to have an "Officer of the Week" that I would name to people who don't necessarily fly a lot, but are otherwise an asset to the squadron. For example, people who did a lot of IWATS, posted to a run-on, made a graphic, recruited, etc., would get this mention. Because our new Wing Commander has said that he wants more of an emphasis on flying, I may decide not to bring it back just yet. We'll see.
- Commander Draiff Stryker is currently in the lead in the "First to fly 10 battles" competition for the squadron. He leads us all by 2 battles. For more details on competitions, as always, see below.
- Don't forget about the message boards! They are hands-down the best way to communicate with each other as a squadron.
- Real life first.
- Have fun!

- Participate in competitions (so you get promoted and get medals!)
