Tempest Squadron Weekly Report #3 - 24th of February 2005


***~Introdutory Note~***

Tempest Squadron report is a little early this week, because I’ll be travelling this weekend and won’t be able to do the report later, but I’ll still be able to check my e-mail sometimes.

Last week I asked everyone to send me their MSN passport.net info.....I had Chris’s already, and counting everyone that did send me the MSN info, I’m only short of: Seph, Rover, Impulse, Ozkan and Prost......which means......NONE of you sent the info......please, all of the stated above, send me your MSN info ASAP. Thank you.

On another matter, none of you hated the idea of having black as the official squadron color. I’ve mailed Coranel and Locke about this matter, and we are waiting an answer.

* COL Locke Setzer got tired of abusing P and C, got himself promoted to Rear Admiral, and became the new Commodore of ISD Challenge......Congrats!!!!!!!!!

* We will have a website sometime soon, yeey!!!

* Tempest is still waiting for the new Flight 3 Leader to be changed in the roster by the Flight Office...it should happen anytime.

* Communications: I want everyone to send me your MSN passport.net....If you don’t have one.....get one ASAP.

* Color Picking: everyone that talked to me liked black.....waiting for a response to that.

- Fly something from the Mission Compendium
- Take and IWATS Course
- Write some fiction
- Create a graphic
- Submit something for the Squadron Report (Fiction etc)

If you haven't noticed Tempest is in desperate need of pilots, get out there and ask your friends, your relatives, parents, grandmothers, dogs, i don't care, lets just get some people in here.
I am offering a ISM per recruit (Cadet and RSV's alike) and a PC per 5 recruits, so theres a chance for you to get lots of medals and to help not only the squad but also the wing.)
This is deactivated until the Tempest Recruiting Comp has ended.

* Wing X Birthday:

Drunken Revelry.
Between becoming the new TCBG Flagship and celebrating yet another birthday, the parties have become out of control. Create a graphic displaying the 'pleasantries;' write a fiction (under 1,000 words) describing any aspect of the 'party.' Topic(s) are fairly open as long as they have something to do with a drunken party in the cantina, or some other form of party. The top graphic and top fiction will receive an IS-SR. Runner up in each category will receive an IS-BR. Competition will run all month. Submissions are due March 2nd.

Insult Comp: Wing X Birthday Insult Comp! The point of this comp is to insult your direct superior in the worst way possible, in five words or less. IS-SR to the best insult, IS-BR to the runner up. Insults are due in by March 2nd.

I dont know the comp ID yet. I’ll let you know when it is approved.
Its a pretty simple comp: it starts march 1st, and it runs for two months.
For every two recruits that goes to the wing, you receive an IS-BR (I want copies of the e-mails when you have first contacted the recruit).
For every recruit that comes to Tempest, you receive na IS-BR
The person who has recruited the most in the first month receives na IS-BR, and the Second Month too, so, there are a lot of medal opportunities.
The recruits can come either from the PLT Daedalus, or from FRG Phoenix.
As you can see, this competition is a long term thing for us to fill all the positions available in the squadron, and to help where we can in the wing...
I would like everyone to participate....Just contact people in Daedalus offering help, or contact an old friend in the reserves, and try to get them in here....It’s best for everyone when we have a full house.
