STRYKER'S STORY
Lieutenant Colonel Jer Stryker was on another of his joyrides.  Despite his ever-growing collection of exotic fighters, including a coveted Tie Defender Mk II, his Tie Avenger, appropriately named the Stryker's Vengeance, was still his baby.  With the engines up to redline, he was screaming through a nearby asteroid field, trying to keep from laughing the entire time.  He had reason to be happy.  Despite the fact that the Vanguard had, once again, performed the least effectively of all the ships in the battlegroup, his squadron had not been the reason.  In fact, it did twice as well as over half the other squads in the ASF, and for that he was proud.  Jer decided to route some more power to his engines, for more speed.  There were few things more exhilhirating than barreling through an asteroid field.

COMMANDER'S BRIEFING
  • Well, SCVII is over, and even though we didn't win any big awards, and didn't have 100% participation, but it never goes perfectly.  For the first time (I think), Hornet has scored the highest of any squad on the Van.  It seems like every year there was always one squad that out-did us, but not this time.  Also, even though there were two who got 0 points, there will be no AWOLs, because there are both decent reasons for the 0 points.  (I never liked the rule that much anyway, since this is only a game after all)
  • Normally I would suggest taking a breather after a competition such as the SC, but it seems as though activity may actually be on the rise in the near future, and I'm in no mood to discourage that.  If things continue the way they are, we should have 3 more Hornets in the EH Free Worlds community before long.  That would make everyone except noWedge, who needs a new PC before he can play.
  • Also, now that noWedge is back and SC is over, we can all spend some more time hanging out and generally giving each other a hard time on the message boards.  Maybe someone will finally add to the run-on?

EXECUTIVE OFFICER GRIMLOCK'S BRIEFING
Greetings Pilots,
 
    As your new Executive Officer I am going to be initiating some new standards for Hornet Squadron. Now im not trying to sound like the activity police but our Squadron level of paticipation is low so, First off I would like to ask all of the pilots to do some kind of EH realated activity each week, this includes flying, iwats, mbs, etc. Second I thought we did fairly well in the Supremecy competition, we did take first within the Vanguard. Although a few of us could have done more, hopefully next year will be better. Also I am going to ask all of you to use the message boards more, they are paid for by the EH for your use, so use them. It only takes about 5-10 minutes to post a quick addition to the run-on, which has died so I will start a new one soon and there are always my questions of the month. :P Any way think of RL first, then the EH.
