SONG OF THE WEEK: We've got a little tie this week.. both Homeward Bound and The Sound of Silence by Simon and

Garfunkel are the SotW. I unfortunately missed Simon and Garfunkel playing together for the first time in 5 years at the Grammy's, but I guess it was cool.. they played The Sound of Silence. Another S&G notable is Bridge Over Troubled Waters.

SHOW OF THE WEEK: Yonder Mountain String Band - 8/12/00. YMSB is a great bluegrass band I've been listening to lately.. This is a short little show, but is pretty fun. A sweet, sweet, sweet song is Half-Moon Rising!!!!

SQUADRON NEWS:

1) Like.. nothing happened this week :p Try to do a bit more this week.. especially work on the Wing IV vs. Wing VIII comp, it's almost over! David, Valic, Mal.. will you guys be able to fly DB-TIE 11 for this comp? It's not too hard at all, and only 4-5 missions. Please try to do so :)

2) IMPORANT! We need to fly DB-TIE 11 for our comp with Wing VIII and it's very important to get a lot of submissions in. It's a Wing vs. Wing comp, and our reputation is at stake. The same battle is assigned for the Wing IV Ace comp, so you can kill two birds with one stone. You have a month to fly. This is not a hard battle at all :)

3) I encourage you to try and fly TC-TIE 183, TC-XWA 32 or TC-XvT 31 for the February Sov Battle of the Month. This is secondary to DB-TIE 11 though!

4) I have assigned FREE-TIE 199 for you guys to fly in the next week or two or eight.. It's an easy mission :) Send 'er in when it's completed.. try to do so before.. St. Patrick's Day? :p C'mon, you can do it. Jonny and Valic flew 'er already.
