Hey Squadron Report for January 26th through February 2nd 2003.

Hey Hey! Time for this week's report! This is my 50th report as Commander
of this squadron, here's to 50 more! We've got a bit of news to cover, so
let's do it!

SQUADRON NEWS
-------------

The Hey Top Ace Competition for January is over. Only three people flew for
it, CM Maw'la, CM Dan Jenkins and myself. Dan had problems with the
mission, so his file isn't valid unfortunately. Thanks for flying though!
There's always February!

Here are the results:

I'll be looking through the Battle Center for a battle for this month's
running of the Top Ace Competition. If anyone has any ideas on a good
battle to fly, feel free to drop me a line.

Our competition with Praetorian Squadron starts on Wednesday Feb. 5th. I'll
announce the battle we'll be flying on Tuesday the 4th. Everyone be ready
to fly for this one! I want to see us stomp an Elite squadron!

Work does proceed slowly on the squadron website.

WING NEWS

Ash is on leave and CPT Adren Silvori is in charge. Guess my last reign of
terror as A-WC was too much. :)

As I mentioned in last week's Wing News section, you might wanna be careful
how you use the Wing Mailing list. One word/sentence replies or messages
should probably go directly to someone's e-mail not the Wing as a whole.

Tac Competition #3 & TACA sought.

This time I have something for people with graphics creation skills (again
:P). All details can be found here. Try to be quick :)
Also I am looking for new TACA. This person will be responsible for creation
different graphics for Tactical Office. Good awards for hard work. You must
be familiar with creation of logos, backgrounds, layouts for webpages and
banners. No other skills required, but HTML knowledge would be ok.

TC Homepage Standards - Update

It seems some people need clarification on this: Squadron, Wing/Ship and
Battlegroup websites are mandatory. If you are a CMDR+, then it's your
responsibility to make sure these pages are in place and meet the
requirements. This doesn't mean you have to make the pages yourself - there
are plenty of people in the EH that can do this for you. Whether you make
the pages or not, they remain your responsibility.

These requirements have not be brought in to make your life more difficult.
They are there so that TIE Corps sites meet a high level of standard. A
Cadet is more likely to consider joining your Squadron if the page has all
the correct information and is regularly updated.
