Commander's Thoughts
Well the SCV is finally over. My personal thanks go out to each one of you for your outstanding performance and all around hard work. I could never tell you the pleasure it is commanding you guys. Even though we didnt win it, I dont think there is a better team out there in my opinion. So where do we go from here?? R and R and alot of brewskies boys. Help yourself at the bar its all on me, youve earned it!!

XO's CORNER
I am very impressed by all of you who participated to help get your squadron into 4th place in the SC. Great job!! Thanks for flying all those battles I assigned, they really helped us retain our ground! Also thanks to everyone who contributed to the run-on. Darksaber loved it and gave us lots of points! There is another run-on already started by Grimlock. Feel free to read and add to the story. Also I have set up a new topic on the Hornet message board called Stryker's Short Stories. It's a little fiction column I will be writing to every so often. Take a look and tell me what you think. Great job last month everyone! Take a break; you've earned it.

Squadron News:
-We now have 28 citations which is great increase for the week. And for all the newer guys in the squad, we gain a citation for just about every battle you fly and I would love to see us break twenty again by next week so lets all fly a battle or two. --Our XO Jer Stryker has issued assignments for the week so do everything you can to do what he gives ya.
-The new Hornet messageboard is up and running and I have yet to see very many of our people posting to it so go check it out and lets hear you. We have a brand new runon up on the message board so stop by and post to it and do be creative.
-Any member of this team that has 0 points comes the end of the comp will be officially Awol'd without delay. It only takes a minute to do something of point value so I expect something from everybody. Dont hinder the TEAM, be a part of it!!!
-Unfortunately I will be on leave Friday and Saturday and I will be returning sometime on Sunday. I ask that all pilot files be sent to our WC Erik Tarkin as he will put them in for you. I hate this happens right at the end of the comp but my job requires me to be at a business meeting out of town and cannot be avoided. So dont you guys stop working just cus im not here to put my foot in your butt. I still expect my mailbox to be flooded with approvals upon my eminent return.

Wing/Ship News:
-The Vanguard finished last in the SC competition. We had some outstanding performances individually and team work.
-Many medals have been awarded to Van members for their SC activity so congrats to all who were awarded.
-COL Erik Tarkin has decided to step down as our WC and is going back home to Scorpion squadron. He was a great WC and will be missed at the helm.
