I hereby submit the Praetorian
Squadron report on
12 TIE Praetors and the Nebulon-B
Frigate Stormhawk exited hyperspace in the system and
immediately began to head for the platform. Captain Hunter opened up the comm.
channel.
“Attention Neuroalia House of
Burlesque, this is Captain Hunter of the Emperor’s Hammer Intelligence
Division. You are ordered to immediately evacuate all personnel and equipment
and transfer it all to the Nebulon-B Frigate Stormhawk. We will be moving you deeper into EH territory. Resist, and we will use force to make you leave. And believe
me, we don’t want to do that. We wouldn’t want to ruin
the…quality…of your products. Over.”
“Captain Hunter,
this is the Neuroalia House of Burlesque. Are you out
of your mind?!? This is the spot where we get the best business! We get both EH
and Rebel customers as well as Independents! Why on earth would we move to EH
territory??? All that would do is close some of our markets. No, repeat, we
will not comply, over.”
Hunter sighed.
“Copy that, Burlesque House. Very well, prepare to be boarded and all personnel
seized as prisoners.” Hunter switched channels. “Ok, Praetorians, they’ve
refused, as expected. Iceman and Shae, follow me and we’ll disable the platform. Turr and ObiVader, your flight
will take out the fighters they’ll be launching. Jaron,
your flight is to cover Intel’s transports as they assist in disabling the
station. You have your orders.”
A barrage of
“Yes, sirs” followed Hunter’s statements. The Praetorians split up and began to
engage their separate targets. A flight of Z-95 Headhunters launched from the
platform. 3 were instantly cut apart as Turr Phennir and ObiVader’s lasers
sliced through their weak shields. Iceman and Shae
danced around the lines of fire as the platform, destroying laser and turbolaser batteries one by one as the platform desperately tried to score hits on the
TIE Praetors. Unfortunately for Jaron, Reaper and
Zorn Starn, they had a nice, relaxing ride as no
craft even got close enough to fire a single laser blast at the ID Assault
Transports.
Within minutes,
all of the resistance had been destroyed and the platform disabled. Hunter
opened the comm. channel. “Neuroalia House of
Burlesque, this is Captain Hunter. The boarding party should be arriving in
your hangar just about now. Attempt to resist and they will be the first to
“taste the goods.” Hunter grinned.
“What the heck
are you thinking Hunter?!?” commented Starn. “We
should be on that platform right now! I don’t know about you, but I’m gonna get first picks!” Starn’s
TIE Praetor immediately headed for the platform’s landing pad.
“I can’t argue
with him, Hunter,” agreed Jaron Kai. “We didn’t come
all this way to let anyone get to that place before us. Flight III, follow Starn!” 4 TIE Praetors banked out of formation and headed
for the platform.
“NO! You’re not
going without me! I called first dibs back on the Lichtor
V! ” shouted Iceman. His TIE Praetor peeled out of formation and shot ahead of
the rest of the Praetorians at full speed.
“Well, Hunter,”
commented Shae. “You’re squad is out of control. What
are you going to do about it?”
Hunter chuckled.
“You know, they’re right, Shae. Let’s get there
before anyone else can!”
“Now that’s what
I’m talking about!” laughed Turr Phennir.
“This is one time
that I’d have to agree, Hunter,” said Reaper. “I may be older than the rest of
you, but I’m not stupid.”
“Did you just
call the CMDR stupid?!?” asked ObiVader. “Well, he’s
NOT, but he WOULD be if he had not agreed to go!” He laughed.
Hunter shook his
head. “What a squadron…man, do I love being here.”
Squadron News:
- The flying competitions are ON! For the next
three to four weeks, we’ll be competing against Delta, Beth and Hey
Squadrons! I’ve just sent the comps off for approval to the FO and XO. Our
first challenge is…DELTA!!! You all need to fly TIE-TC 195 and XWA-TC 23!
The pilot(s) with the highest scores for each battle will receive IS-BWs!
The comp ends on the 27th! Make me proud, Praetorians! Let’s
show Delta what it means to be elite! If you have any further questions,
don’t hesitate to ask me.
- Avenger Squadron has passed 300 citations, but
that’s okay. I’m still proud of you all and am proud to serve with each of
you. We’re still going to reach 300 citations…but now, let’s see if we can
reach that many before Diamondback Squadron does!
- MAJ Lohr Zadash has been removed from Praetorian Squadron due
to inactivity.
- CPT ObiVader will be
starting up the Trivia Competition very soon. Yeah, I know…now you have to
use your brain. Ain’t that a shame? :-P
