Things on the Vampire front very quiet
this week. The good news is that there's no bad news :) However, we have a
comp vs. Sahde Squadron starting as of today, see details below. I've put forth
some effort trying to get us some pilots, but so far, to no avail. I'll keep
trying. I've also changed my email addy to: VinDoros@WingXI.net just so you guys
know :)

On the main TC news page, AD
Marcin Szydlowski mentioned something about skipping missions in battles. Now,
some of Kanes BSF's that i've processed have come through with a score of 0. But
those are TIE Battles, and to my knowledge (there may be a way to do it, but i'm
not aware of it), there's no way to skip a mission in TIE. In XvT, if you fly
with "unlimited waves" on, the score at the end is given, but when the BSF is
processed, it comes up a 0. In XWA, a mission can be skipped, but as there
haven't been that many XWA Battles that come over my desk, I haven't seen a
problem with this. Earlier this week, I ran into some problems with 3-4 TIE
Battles I attempted to fly...and I just skipped over them. As a result, I wasted
4-5 hours flying battles that eventually crashed, preventing me from completeing
them. If you have any questions regarding mission skipping, please ask myself,
LC Auto, and RA Roguewing. The bottom line is: finishing a
battle...gooooood-skipping a mission baaaaaaaaadddd.

Status/Orders:
Pilots of Vampire, to your fighters!
Comp against Sadhe Squadron of Wing V is on! It runs from the
17th of January, until the 31st of January....just under two weeks to complete
three missions. (NOTE: I'm still waiting for approval for this comp, but we're
running it anyway.) IS-BW awarded for highest scorer of each platform. The
average scores of all participants will be calculated on each platform. The
squadron that wins two of the three platforms, wins the comp.

Other than that, stay in contact, use
the message board, do an IWATS Course, Fly a battle or two...just try to keep
active, people.

I'm still waiting to announce Vampire's
little "surprise". I'm hoping those who are working on the suprise, get moving a
little faster...i'd like to announce it before next Christmas.
