I hereby submit the Praetorian Squadron report for the week of January 5^th, 2003.

 

Captain Hunter opened the hatch of his TIE Praetor and stepped out onto the deck of the Lichtor V. Around him, the other members of the squadron also began releasing themselves from their starfighters and began removing their helmets. He waited until they were all assembled before him, then began to speak:

 

“Excellent work, pilots. Thanks to the Infiltration Bureau, the valuable Rebel data is now in the hands of the Intelligence Division…and more specifically, our hands.” He smiled.

 

“Shall we have a look at what we found?” The rest of the squad nodded.

 

“Very well.” The squad members walked to the debriefing room, where Hunter hooked up the datapad to the giant screen at the far end of the room. In a few seconds, a name and a location appeared on the screen.

 

Commander Jaron Kai gasped. “Sir, you’re telling me that we busted our butts just to get the location of the Neuroalia House of Burlesque?!?”

 

“Yes, Commander, we did exactly that. I hear that they have some of  the best ‘comforts’ in the galaxy,” he paused, “for both males and females.”

 

“Honestly, Hunter, why do you think women would even consider visiting a burlesque house?” quipped Shae Kitane. “I mean, come on, we don’t have those urges that all you males do.”

 

“Just visit that place and you’ll change your mind,” said Turr Phennir. “Why, the last time I went there with Iceman-“

 

“Turr, don’t even start,” interrupted Iceman. “You know that I only went because you promised to pay me 500 credits if I went.”

 

“If you didn’t have a good time, you mean,” replied Phennir. He grinned. “And you did have a good time.”

 

Hunter raised his hand and soon the room quieted down. “Regardless of who had a good time and who didn’t, we’re all going to enjoy the pleasures of that place very soon. Intel has decided that it would be in the EH’s best interests to raid the place before the Rebels get any party ideas for their late New Year celebrations. We’re going to escort the Storm Hawk as it helps to transfer all of the ‘personnel’ at that place to another location…deep inside EH territory.”

 

Reaper rolled his eyes. “I guess we’re just lucky to receive the ‘good’ assignments,” he thought as the debriefing went on.

 

Squadron News:

• I’ve emailed 4 Squadron Commanders for some competitions with Prae. 3 have accepted so far, while the fourth still needs to reply to my emails. Do whatever you need to get ready, because Praetorian Squadron is going to work. These 3 squadrons will be the first of many squadrons we will be facing in the coming weeks. In addition, if you have not noticed, Prae’s nickname is “The Fire Demons.” Each of the squadrons we will face has a motto or a nickname that relates to death or hell. Although there are many squadrons who fight bravely and who have superb performance, the question remains: who are the true masters from hell? I know that Praetorian holds that title. We are elite and have a proud legacy of having the best pilots in the fleet. Let’s prove to them and to ourselves that this remains true. Our first opponents will (hopefully) be Alpha, Delta, Beth, and Hey Squadrons, with Kaph, Crossbow, Typhoon, Tornado, Demon, Vortex, Phoenix, Tartarus, Diamondback, Hornet, Flayer, and Omega in the future (though these other squadrons are not all gurantees). We will be flying TIE, XvT, and XWA battles in these competitions instead of FREE missions. Let’s show ‘em. More details will be coming as I get the competitions set and approved.  

 

• At the moment Avenger Squadron is only a few citations away from reaching 300, so we may not end up being the first to reach 300. However, we will still reach 300 citations regardless of whether or not we are the first to reach that number. It’s been a long time since I last assigned battles for you to fly, so here are the battles I want each of you to fly. And remember, these are for citations, so don’t worry about your score:

• Captain ObiVader has made a suggestion that Praetorian Squadron have a Trivia Competition. He will be organizing the trivia and distributing it to you and also to the Ubiqtorate (hope I spelled that right). It should be up and running soon.
• I got promoted to be the new Tactical Coordinator for all XWA battles/missions in the Tactical Office!!! Yay me! :-P
