Hey Hey! The new year is off to a pretty good start for us. Let's do it!

SQUADRON NEWS

We have a banner thanks to LCM Pokemaster! Check out the squadron roster to see it!

We have a couple of competitions running right now. Round one of the competition with Wing XI ends on the 7th. Get your pilot files for XWA-FREE #65 to me and Ash by then. Also the Hey Squadron Top Ace competition is running. You have until the end of the month to fly XWA-IW #32.

CM Maw'la and LCM Pokemaster were awarded ISMs. Congrats!

CM Dan Jenkins was awarded his IS-BW for having the highest score in our competition with Delta Squadron. Congrats Dan!

LCM Pokemaster was awarded the Commendation of Bravery for completing 137 missions (I don't feel like doing the math of how many battles that works out to...:P ). Congrats Poke!

I was promoted to LC! I'm buying drinks for a good while to come! :)

LCM Pokemaster transferred to Aleth to take a Flight Leader position. Good luck Poke! Remember, there's always a spot for you in Hey!

Our WC, MAJ Aeishline Strathaven was also promoted to LC! Congrats Boss!

CM Keller of Aleth was promoted to CPT! Congrats!

Logistics Officer Open For Applications

Overview - The LO primarily acts as the EH archivalist, ensuring that certain materials such as newsletters and the EH codex are up to date and accessable at all times. Technical ability and an eye to detail in maintaining these archives are key attributes for the position. The Logistics Officer is also responsible for content in the newsletter, such as book/game reviews, etc.

Selection Criteria - Essential
1. Good written communication skills
2. An acceptable level of presence in online media such as IRC, message boards, etc.
3. Fast Email response time
4. The ability to work with a wide range of EH personnel, including the Executive Officer
5. The ability to work to extreme deadlines

Selection Criteria - Desirable
1. HTML experience (ASP/PHP is a bonus)
2. Awareness of Star Wars events and happenings outside the EH

Immediate duties for the successful candidate will include the updating of the EH Codex and other historical archives, as well as the acquisition of webspace to host the various files from.

You must address each criteria with supporting evidence. Simply saying "Yes, I can do that" will not be enough. Include specific examples of your experience. You should meet at least the essential criteria to be considered for the position. You will be expected to perform the core duties as listed and if you are unwilling to perform them, don't waste time by applying. You must include at least three (3) references. At least one must be a current or former superior (preferably current). Ensure you have their permission first. If it is found out that you did not gain permission, this will reflect upon your application in a negative light. Applications should be sent to the Fleet Commander (garonin@aol.com) and Executive Officer (jpboyce@indigo.net.au) with the subject "Application for Logistics Officer".
